I visited Salon Beleza today for the first time and had a wonderful experience! I have been growing my hair for about 2 years in preparation to donating it to be made into wigs for cancer patients. I decided it was time to take the plunge and get a large portion of my hair cut off. Devan was my stylist and was extremely friendly, encouraging and understood that I was nervous about getting my long locks cut off. We spoke about what kind of cut I was looking for, and before the scissors were even near my hair I had confidence in her ability to deliver what I wanted.
I had 12 inches of hair cut off! After a nice shampoo, she cut my hair into a cute bob (the shortest I've ever gone). Despite the nerves I felt having just lost 12 inches of hair, I could see the shape coming together as she cut and she made sure to check at every step before continuing to ensure everything was coming together as we discussed.
Not only was she friendly and easy to talk to, the other stylists, receptionist, and Richard the owner stopped to admire the process and take a look at the long ponytail we took off. I will definitely be going back to Salon Beleza for a long time!

I was in desperate need of a color correction. The previous place I went to colored my hair a wierd looking reddish color. This was after I told them ""NO RED"". Devon and Richard both came up with a solution that took my hair back to a natural brunette color. And Devon gave me a great contemporary cut.

I have been going to Salon Beleza for years, and have enjoyed each and every cut and now color by Richard. Every time after leaving the salon and meeting up with friends and /or co ? workers they ask where I get my hair cut and by whom. As well, each time is an enriching experience with the conversion between Richard and the staff.
As for the posts about the push of product, he only suggests what might be good for your hair, or what he is using. Since I don?t use any product in my hair he no longer tells me unless I ask, this is because he knows me and how I like to do my hair. This is one reason why I love going there he can tell when there is a need for a change, and you always look great. That is a great sign of a highly skilled hairdresser that knows and takes interest in all of their clients. This salon has never disappointed me in any of the services I have had done.

I DONT KEEP CONSTANT WATCH ON THE REVIEWS OF OUR SALON. APPARENTLY OUR CUSTOMER NICOLE REALLY HAD A UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE.
THE ENTIRE STAFF OF OUR SALON IS IMPORTANT TO ME SO I JUST FELT I HAD TO EXPLAIN SOME OF WHAT MAY HAVE HAPPENED.
FIRSTLY I ONLY SUGGEST THE USE OF PRODUCTS THAT I FEEL WILL MAKE STYLING EASIER OR THOSE THAT MAKE THE HAIR HEALTHIER. THE IDEA THAT I PUSHED PRODUCT MIGHT HAVE BEEN IN RESPONSE TO THE CLIENTS HAIR NEEDING A REPAIR PRODUCT CALLED THERMASTRENTH.I HAPPEN TO BE OVERLY ZELOUS ABOUT THIS PARTICULAR PRODUCTS BENEFITS.
A STRONG SUGGESTION THAT THE PRODUCT WOULD BE BENEFICIAL DOES NOT IN MY ESTIMATION CONSTITUE PUSHING. THIS BUILDS TINSLE STRENGTH AND ELASTICITY.
AUGUST WAS A FIRST VISIT AND I USED A GREAT DEAL OF COLOR PRODUCT. SO EITHER THE CLIENTS HAIR WAS VERY LONG OR ABSORBSION OF THE NON AMONIA NO ODOR LOREAL INOA COLOR WAS IMPORTANT TO ME.
IN SO FAR AS I WAS DISTRACTED BY THE SALON UP-KEEP THE BEST I CAN SAY IS THAT OUR RECEPTIONIST GAVE BIRTH TWO WEEKS EARLY, OUR AESTHETICIAN HAD A DEATH IN THE FAMILY THAT HAD HER OUT FOR THE WEEK, THE RECEPTIONIST; HIRED TO HANDLE THE NEW MOM'S WORK LOAD, WAS BUSY CALLING OFF ALL WEEK FOR HER MOM'S NEW DIAGNOSIS OF PANCREATIC CANCE.
A PROFESSIONAL SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PUT THAT ALL TOGETHER AND MUDDLED THROUGH. BUT THAT WEEK THREW US ALL FOR A LOOP
.MY INDUSTRY IS HEAVILY WEIGHTED ON TIME AND WE ALLOW APPROPRIATE TIMES FOR ALL SCHEDULED SERVICES. HOWEVER, I WAS MULTI TASKING BEYOND REASON AND, I DID AKNOWLEDGE THE FACT THAT I WAS.
TO NOT CONTINUE BEYOND ENOUGH I'LL STOP AT THIS TIME BECAUSE SOMETIMES LIFE MAKES US ALL A LITTLE NUTS DOES'T IT? IT IS UNFORTUNATE THAT WE SOMETIMES GET SWEPT UP INTO IT ALL BUT ITS NOTHING THAT A LITTLE LIFE CONDITIONING CAN'T FIX.
WHICH BRINGS ME TO SAY THAT I'LL BE GLAD TO REPAIR THE SITUATION WITH REGARD TO NICOLES DRY HAIR. THE LONGER SIDE MAY JUST BE A THICKNESS OF HAIR NOT A LONGER LENGHTH ESSPECIALLY IF THE LENGHTH SEEMS TO BE ON THE LEFT SIDE AS WE MOSTLY SLEEP ON OUR RIGHT SIDE MAKING IT SOMEWHAT THINNER.
THREE TIMES MAY NOT BE A CHARM BUT I TAKE MY CAREER EXTREMELY SERIOUSLY AND APPOLIGIZE FOR WHAT SEEMED: BY ANY STANDARDS, TO BE A BAD EXPERIENCE

I couldn't agree more with the previous poster! First time I went I waited forever and the owner talked incessantly and tried to multitask and kept apologzing and said it's not normally like this!
So I gave it another shot! What a mistake. I was the only one there, but it still took 3.5 hours for a cut and color. As he was doing my color he was like oh this isn't good. Then he proceeded to wash the floors and sinks and do laundry and made me wait! Then said you really don't need a cut but you can come back to get your color fixed. All this after he bragged and boasted about this special color that is far superior than others. The color totally fried my hair and left it damaged. Not to mention one side of my hair was much longer than the other.
BTW, you have to keep going out to feed the meter and be harrassed to buy product. The guy is nuts!

What a Stressful day!!!!!!
Thought getting my hair done was supposed to be a treat!
But 41/2 hours later I experienced strange high-lights that made me look like a zebra....dark brown hair with dirty yellow stripes.....a crying woman behind me who was horrified with her color....several people waiting for appointments...better get used to waiting....an owner that answers the phone incessantly while pretending to work on your hair....oh my....did I mention 41/2 HOURS?....You other bloggers must be crazy!!!!! Bad, bad experience!!!!!!

This is a thinking hair dressers place. I was given great attention to the details of the way my hair grow, its texture and color and the shape of my face. The result is the best cut I've ever had. Also Richard is just fun to talk to. This was a really great experience.

This is a professional hair salon with an attentive propreitor that pays attention to detail and the customers needs. The friendly and relaxing decor make visits a pleasure, and I recommend taking my whole family there. Cuts and styles can be done as you request using any style magazine as an example. Five stars!
