I just read the previous review and thougt we wrote that! We took three dogs to the kennel and the exact thing happened to two of the dogs. WE ALSO HAD FECAL EXAMS PERFORMED ON THE DOGS THE DAY BEFORE. I registered a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, got their slanted response as it was strees and will be responding soon. They also stated that if I harm their reputation they would contact their attorney. This scared tactic does not work here as I state only the facts and I also have access to our team of attorneys. We left the dogs for two weeks and stated over and over to contact out vet if any situations arise and now they state that we did not say that. Two of the dogs went home with us with a pile of medications which we immediately threw away as they did not need them. The third dog came home coughing sounding like kennel cough. They gave us the strees thing and also stated that the cough was because she barked a lot. None of these pets ever experienced any of these symptoms before, only when they went there. My final bill for the two weeks was $1578.00 PLUS vet charges. I am going to push this farther as it seems like others are experiencing the same situations!

My husband and I have taken our dogs to the Cozy Inn for years and were always very happy with the facilities, service and staff. In July 2010, however, we could not have experienced a greater disappointment.
When my husband dropped off the dogs, a staff was leaving for the day and commented to the person doing the dog ""intake"" that she hoped that ""this diarrhea clears up"" by the time she worked that weekend. The intake person ignored the comment, but glanced immediately at my husband then carried on with the paperwork.
Three days into our vacation we got the call... one dog had diarrhea and needed the special diet and vet care... the other came down with it a day or two later. They suggested it was separation stress, although neither dog ever demonstrated that before. We were billed for days of special diet meals, anti-diarrheal meds and a few vet visits. When we picked the dogs up we received a very pleasant explanation that this was probably related to the stress. In no way was any gesture made to assume even the smallest amount of responsbility, despite a discussion of the staff member's comments when our dogs were dropped off.
Our own vet confirmed what we suspected... both dogs had picked up a minor parasite while at the kennel. We know it occured at the kennel b/c they had fecal exams immediately prior to boarding which came back fine. So two weeks and yet more $$$$ later, suffice it to say that we could not have been more disappointed in the Cozy Inn's service, and are sincerely sorry to say that we would never risk using them again.
