I went to this Aspen Dental location, my first visit to a dentist in several years, choosing it because of it's ease of location, hours and the chains overall BBB A+ rating. I knew going in that I was going to need work, I have a hole in my wisdom tooth and nearly every time I go in I need a filling (this is why I have put it off for so long going in). The office staff was generally friendly. After taking an extensive series of x-rays I was seated in an exam room where the dentist spent less than a minute looking at my teeth, perhaps two minutes on the x-rays. I was told I would need 4 fillings on my upper teeth, a crown on a bottom and the wisdom tooth would need extracted. I was then escorted to the "office manager" to discus billing and payment. I understand the my insurance does not cover everything, but I felt very pressured to sign up for their financing plan, with or without interest. They made it feel very much like a business and not at all like treating the patient came first. I left and sought out a second opinion from a well referenced dentist. In fact, the only work I needed was a filling in the tooth they said required a crown and the extraction of the wisdom tooth - the 4 fillings on the upper are not at all nessecary, this dentist saw only one area that could develop into a problem but advised that with brushing and flossing it could be prevented. I feel very unsetteled by my expierience at Aspen Dental and advise anyone seeking treatment there that a 2nd opinon would do you a world of good.
