I've been there a few times in the past few months.. The owner is an extremely nice young woman, you can tell she knows what she's doing & she will not rip you off. All employees are good to work with, except one. He is a foreign man and doesn't seem to know much about what he is doing. I walked in with about 12 gold & silver old necklaces of my own, I also had 4 broken pieces of jewelry I was curious about because the clasps that label it gold were missing. He told me that nearly all of the LABELED 10 & 14k necklaces were gold filled, after just looking at them. I asked him to scratch test them and he would not. I ended up leaving with only selling 2 necklaces. This didn't make much sense to me so I went to the Atlantic Gold Exchange on perry Highway to see an older man who had been a jeweler all his life. He tested everything and it turns out that I had 290 dollars of REAL gold that the foreign man told me was fake. I would reccomend them, as long as that man is not working.
I would tell my best friend to just go to Werner Jewlers. Don't think about it, just use them. To anyone else I would say: If you want an impressive piece of the dying art of cusotomer service, in a family owned type environment, you want Werner Jewlers. When I decided to buy a loose diamond engagement ring, the reputation and attitude of the jewler was the most important aspect of the purchase. I contacted Werner based on their reviews but Tim hooked me within a few seconds and never once strayed from his honest patient personal helpful approach. I didnt want to be spoken down to or pressured and what I got from Tim was the sense that he had appreciation for his trade. Never the slightest bit eager or impatient he really made me feel like I was talking to a friend. As for the stone, with Tims guidance and a large selection to choose from, it receives more spontaneous compliments than anyting I've ever seen! It makes her absolutely glow, and you can't put a price on that.
I believe jewelers are like mechanics- it's hard to find a really good one you can trust so when you do- you pass the information along to all your friends and family. I have been going to see Tim and his dad at Werner Jewelers for years. I can't say enough good things about them! It's a family owned busines and they treat their customers like family too! They are fair- knowledgable and always willing to go above and beyond for all their customers. I would never even think to go anywhere else!! Their knowledge of stones and jewels is undeniable and they are more then fair. Whether your looking for that one of a kind engangement ring or have jewelry that is in need of repair- take it to Werners!!! Your old jewelry will look like new and you'll love the experience!~!!
