Located in Pittsburg, Calif., Hillview Junior High School provides educational services to students in grades six through eight. Its academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as mathematics, social studies, science and language arts. The school conducts reading support classes and offers REACH and gifted and talented education programs. It provides English language development instruction for English language learners. Established in 1958, its campus includes a library, band room, cafeteria, stage, gymnasium, computer laboratories and classrooms. The school involves parents in various activities, such as book fairs, honor roll assemblies, supervision during lunch time and ice cream socials. In addition, it offers individual counseling and classroom guidance to students. Hillview Junior High School is a part of the Pittsburg Unified School District.
