Went on Saturday night, every other place around was full and this one was empty so it was kind of our last choice. So glad we walked in, it was a wonderful experience, one of the best Mexican foods I have had in the area. Yes, better than Don Pedro across the street. Anyway, a couple of minutes later more people started to arrive so it was half full I would say. As soon as we arrived we got chips and 3 different kinds of salsas, even a queso salsa (not a dip, so it is a little runny just like the consistency of a salsa should be), it was delicious. My husband got the carnitas and it was plenty of food, the pork was wonderfully seasoned, the rice the beans and salads all looked and tasted very fresh. I got the carne asada and to my surprise it came with a baked potato topped with a sour cream and cheese salsa and it was the best of the best. My plate had the typical sides: rice, refried beans, salad but it also came with guacamole, sour cream and the “surprise” baked potato. Everything came with tortillas, plenty of food for the price you pay. The kids had a quesadilla and it was plenty for them as well. I think this place needs to advertise a little more, being that is next to Don Pedro, but once people get to try this place by accident (just like we did) am sure they will be switching. I would definitely recommend this place, it is clean, nicely decorated, service was wonderful, and they even gave us a coupon for 15% off for our next visit!!
The food is great, the owners are attentive to the customer, and the music and decor allow you to take a little trip back in time. Golden grilled cheese sandwiches, downright tasty hotdogs, juicy burgers, and a fantastic breakfast menu wait for you in Pineville. And what about the great fish sandwich!! I didn't even care for coleslaw until I tasted the fish sandwich.......the coleslaw is just a delicious creamy addition to the absolute best fish sandwich. The menu has many more tasty treats so come to the Dive 'N and check it all out. Some cool things from the late 50s and 60s decorate this cozy establishment. You can't help but hum along with the tunes while you enjoy the best service, friendly smiles, and scrumptious food. I ask, just what are you waiting for?
