It produces low-sulfur coal and controls reserves. The mining complex utilizes room and pillar mining techniques. Pontiki operates a plant that has a capacity of 900 tons of coal each hour. It offers shipping services for customers and transloading facilities. The mining complex is a part of Pontiki Coal, which is a mining facility of Alliance Resource Partners. The parent company is a coal producer and marketer with operations in the eastern United States.
