Sugar Hollow Wedding Chapel in Pigeon Forge, TN has changed their name to Mountainside Log Chapel in Gatlingburg, TN. Same owners! The lady named Lyla books your wedding, coordinates, and takes the pictures while her husband is one of the ministers that performs the ceremony. She will tell you that the chapel doesn't pay the ministers and that you are responsible for that but really it's her and her husband running the entire chapel so they get 100% profit plus whatever you give the minister! I booked Sugar Hollow about 5 months before my October wedding. I signed the contract and mailed it back to them but never heard anything from them so about 6 weeks before my wedding I decided to call them to find out if they ever received the contract. Lyla then tells me that my wedding will be at their new location in Gatlingburg and not Pigeon Forge. I immediately freak out because the contract that I signed was for Sugar Hollow in pigeon forge and I had already sent out the invitations with that info on them! Apparently she realized that I was extremely upset with her so she tells me that I can still do the wedding at Sugar Hollow but my wedding will be the last one there and all future weddings will be at Mountainside Log Chapel in Gatlinburg. The day of our wedding we show up and Lyla is being really rude to our guests telling them they cannot have their cellphones out at all. The minister who is her husband sounds like an auctioneer and you can't understand a word that he says the entire time..I don't even know how I managed to say my vows. He kept calling me the wrong name the entire time even after I corrected him. He even called my husband the wrong name once. Lyla charged us an extra $180 for extra guests even though they had to stand! It was just a disaster! The entire day was horrible. I've been trying to call them for days about ordering my pictures and they won't pick up the phone. I highly recommend you stay away from Mountainside Log Chapel. You will be very disappointed! Find a more professional chapel.

Very disappointed! Althought there was a misunderstanding about the time and photos copyright even thought the shwc stamp was ACROSS the photos and I paid for them the same day, I was very disappointed! After I looked at my photos online the ones on the disk had been edited and looked nothing like the ones I wanted! That on top of the rude owner reminding me every 5 seconds that I was 30 min early but she would over look it because she was a "nice person". Im sorry but would you not rather your customers be early than late? Besides I said I could wait. That and the "minster"? You couldnt understand a word being said. It was more of a comedy show for my family than a special event. I was very displeased and for spending the money that I spent I would have liked to have been treated a little better. Oh and the best man wad forced to change in the woods. Think twice before coming here!
