I would highly recommend New Horizons based on my experiences with Dr. Abromowitz as well as the office staff and medical assistant. The staff have been friendly and helpful every time I am there, and when I call with a question or medication refill. I have seen a dozen or so psychiatrists in my life, and Dr. Abromowitz is by far the best one. She is very knowledgable about the meds she prescribes, and clearly explains each choice she makes. Often she will offer several possibly helpful medications, explain the pros and cons of each, and let me be a part of the decision making. She treats me as the educated, self-aware adult that I am, whereas most psychiatrists I've seen have disregarded my questions, knowledge, and experience. Dr. Abrowmowitz has helped me out of Bipolar Depression more than any doctor before, while also treating my PTSD and ADD(inattentive.) Her demeanor may seem a little aloof or gruff at first, but she is a great psychiatrist whom I believe truly cares about her patients' recovery.

My teenage son was suffering depression and I took him to see Dr. Lubin. We had nothing but a great experience with him. He met with myself and my son on some visits, and on others, he saw my son alone. We let my son dictate whether or not he wanted me in the room on each visit. My son loved talking to him and felt comfort in his appointments whenever he was being struck with a mental need. I definitely recommend him for the whole family. He's one of the good guys. AND.. he does evening appointments :)

I moved to Columbus in Dec 2010 and made an appointment to see Dr. Davidson who is a physician with PIckerington Area Counseling Service.



When I called to verify my 1st appointment I was told that they FORGOT to call me and that the appointment had been canceled.



The second cancellation was today and I was told that i would have to wait another 90 days before being able to see the doctor. I will be out of medication before June.



When I asked, begged and pleaded for an appointment before my prescriptions are out. I was coldly informed that I am go to to the ER. Now my choice is to go to the ER to be prescribed medication or wait until June. My insurance won't cover a trip to the ER for medication management.



Plus, what happens if the doctor cancels in June? .



I find it unacceptable to make an appointment 3 months in advance only to be told that I will have to wait an additional 3 months to be seen. Especially when it's because the doctor has canceled twice.



If you are looking for a DEPENDABLE psychiatrist who will keep appointments then I suggest finding someone else.
