Momentum Woodworks poor service
Scott Gibson and his now ex-partner new key employee Jeff Kigore are really very poor business men. I'm sorry to have to do this in public but a simple returned phone call and follow up visit that was promised could have solved this whole issue. I entered into an agreement for them to design and install a new built in entertainment center in my family room to replace the my old one. They came highly recommended. Scott came out and saw what was going to be on the center so I presumed he knew what do. When the center was done they installed it and it looked very nice. About a month after Jeff installed the unit I noticed one of the book shelves sagging and that the area where all of my electronic componets sat was extremely hot. I called Scott and the cable company, the cable company told me the cabinet needed to be vented because I had everything in a closed unit. That's nice the center point of the room has to have an open decortive door as well as a sagging shelf because the cabinet designer did not plan for the heat of a cable box and mixer nor the weight of the books on the book shelves. As usual it took about 10 calls before Scott would return a telephone call. Understand he had been paid in full. Finally, he send jeff over to look and yes jeff agrees the shelf's inner support came apart and the glass door needs to replaced with a vented decorative piece of some sort. You would think they would have thought of this before hand. Jeff came on a Friday and said he would be back the next Tuesday. Well Tuesday came and went and none of my telephone calls were returned. Finally, I got a hold of Scott and he claimed I was wrong about the date and that Jeff would be there on Friday. When Jeff shows up he does fix the shelf but claims he has the door piece but forgot it and would be back next week. Fortunatley, a friend was here and also heard Jeff. That was on February 25th, 2011. Now a month later they still do not return phone calls and the pretty new entertainment center still has the door open. What is puzzling Jeff gave me his mobile number because Scott was bad for returning ophone calls and Jeff said he had the decorative screen ready to go and would bring it back next week. Well as of this moment niether Scott nor Jeff has called or came to replace the open door. Again if they would have done what they were suppose to do this posting would never have happened. Oh yes! I'm filing a complaint with the BBB also.
