Its a small shop with lots of great stuff for both freshwater and saltwater enthusiasts. They even have some pond supplies. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Some reviewers on other sites have commented on slow service, but I disagree. It may take some time for them to get to you, but that is because they take the time give each custmer the time and help needed to answer their questions; they don't rush you out the door or try to sell you stuff you don't need. Thanks to their good advice, I was able to save my cichlid tank from an outbreak of hole-in-the-head disease that resulted from an unhealthy fish obtained at a chain pet "super" store. As for the fish at Tropical Treasures, the tanks are always clean and the fish are very healthy. Also, they have an excellent selection of rarely-seen fish. They are now my first, and usually only, stop for aquarium supplies and advice.
Very knowledgable owner. Great prices on salt water fish....way better than Petsmart, who get the fish in the morning, and sell them to you that afternoon. If you know salt water fish, they have to get acclimated .....two environments in that same day is a recipe for disaster. Might not be the most spacious store, but for a local , non-chain shop, they have everything in a small area. If they don't have it, they will order it and usually get it in a day. I will not go anywhere else for my fish. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!
This business carries both new and used aquarium equipment as well as fish. In addition, they also have a large selection of reptiles. The only downside to this place is that it is quite dirty. The place smells a bit and a lot of the tanks are very dirty. I think the place would be a lot better if they spent more time on maintenance.
