While walking up the treet fr...

While walking up the treet from our la t top on a trolley tour, we were looking for a good place to have a hot lunch on a very cold and windy day in Philly. Walking into the re taurant and out of the bitter cold we noticed the wood fire oven glowing and giving the nicely ...moredecorated re taurant warmth and a en e of comfort. We pa ed by a table of diner who ordered 6 of the wood fired pizza that were pread out on their table looking beautifully deliciou . The menu had ome great offering and if wa difficult to choo e ju t one thing for lunch. A loaf of warm bread and a mall bowl of ea oned olive oil wa brought to our table with our oda . It wa a deliciou dipping appetizer. We ordered the bru hetta which wa good but the tomato mixture wa very cold itting on the warm toa ted bagette lice . I wi h it would have been room temperature.. My on had a wood fired pizza, I had the gnocchi and my hu band had the homemade ravioli. All 3 lunche were terrific. The tomato auce on both the ravioli and the gnocchi wa flavorful and creamy. The portion were ju t right for u and we left feeling ati fied at thi la t meal we would be eating in Philly for thi vi it. Wait taff wa attentive and ready to refill oda when they were almo t empty. I am looking forward to vi iting Pizzicato again when I travel to Philly in April. view less

family fun

Ok, thi re taurant wa o plea ing to the eye and warm to the heart, I had to check it out. When fir t walking in, I felt immediately at home. Comfortable enough to eat my elf, I felt like I wa vi iting a family get together around the holiday . Everyone wa f...moreriendly, laid back, and there wa a nice commradery among t all the people there for dinner. You could be there with friend , your whole family-children included, or out for a romantic evening with your loved one. Either way, wa very inviting. Now for the food... I am pretty picky with food. Difficult to find a rea onably priced meal, that wa prepared with love, fre h natural ingredient , and a cri p, authentic, NON-grea ey pizza cru t. Well, thi place i it and definately EXCEEDED my own per onal expectation , preference and tandard --a well a tho e I wa with. To top it off, the owner made ure to make hi way around the table to greet cu tomer , meet up with old friend and check in to ee how you enjoyed your meal. All while the re taurant filled up with it' Friday night crowd. I LOVE thi place and I didn't even mention the SCRUMPTIOUS, afforable de ert ! :b But hey, don't ju t take my word for it, check it out for your elf!view less
