I am a prejunior at Drexel and had now tried dozen’s of restaurants in University City and centre city. A few days ago I ordered from Rana’s Halal Cuisine and was so impressed that I would like to share my experience with you all. I generally love experimenting with spices and flavors of Indian and middle eastern cuisine. I ordered a Shish Taouk which I thought would end up as an average chicken roll. Surprisingly when I tasted it was as if all the flavors were individually kicking in my mouth. The chicken breast was well grilled and was juicy as compared to the regular diner rolls. Not only the tenderness of the meat but the sauce in it also added the perfect balance of sourness and creaminess to perfectly blend with the spiciness of the roll. In total the roll was pretty good I ended up ordering it the next day too. Another dish worth mentioning is the Halal Buffalo Chicken Cheese steak now I have tried buffalo cheesteaks umpteen’s of time but still for a Middle Eastern based restraint the steak truly had the real American buffalo flavor. The best part that I liked was that there were a variety of sauces and all my friend’s got their choices of hotness. But the main reason why I am mentioning this was the blue cheese which was generally had a slight bitter taste in many restraunts but the blue cheese used in this steak was so creamy that it blended perfectly with the sharp chilly and left all my friends delighted. I still order from this place and enjoying tasting different Menu items. Also the owner is so sweet and understanding that he if you want a two topping pizza or you forgot to add something he easily corrects that and makes sure the order reaches on time. I would for sure advise whoever is reading this review to at least try once from this place.
