Perfect dining experience

I bought a gift certificate for my parents to celebrate their anniversary at Morton's in Philadelphia. My parents had such a wonderful meal. They reported that the food was excellent; my dad said it was one of the best steaks he has ever had. What set Morton's apart was the service - the wait staff treated my parents so kindly and so many of them wished them a happy anniversary. My parents were so happy with my and my sister's choice for their celebration dinner. I would recommend Morton's to anyone wishing to celebrate a milestone or just for a top quality meal.

best steaks

The quality of the steaks here are top notch. My only complaint is that the prices for some wines are ridculous.

Each of many visits have been pleasurable. In particular, we had a terrific evening celebrating our son's college graduation with a dozen others, who were dining at Morton's for the first time. Provided with a private room, outstanding service and attention to detail, and great food and wine, the experience could not have been better (especially considering that the FOX NFL crew was in the room next to ours!). My wife enjoys the filet mignon, I lust for the NY strip, and my son is partial to the porterhouse. Over the course of a dozen visits, we've had only one poor steak experience, and they could not have been more apologetic on that occasion. Great food + great service = a fine dining experience. We've dined at many of the steak restaurants in center city, and Morton's is far and away the best.

One step above the rest

I recently moved to the Philadelphia from NYC and was so happy to see a Morton's in historic Center City. I have enjoyed Morton's in the past and was hoping that this would live up to its already amazing reputation. I could not believe how good and ""unique"" their serivce is. I do not think our waiter missed a beat. And if he did, the General manager was there to help out and make our experience even better. The NY Strip is unmatched, the lyonnaise potatoes are a must have and the godiva cake to top off the night really made it memorable experience. What made it more amazing is when the Management staff knew we were new to the area, they brought over a tray with cordials and offered them to us with their compliments. First class food and people at Mortons.

Great Steaks!

We recently had dinner at the King of Prussia location and it was great! It's so nice having a location in the mall- we got our Christmas shopping done and had a great meal all at the same time. Service was excellent (ask for Cara- she was great)
and the food was outstanding- the prices are a little high, but the portion sizes are HUGE- we had leftovers for 2 days :)
Definiely worth it.

The best steak around.

I love Morton's food--But I hate the location!
I liked the old location much more. I used to be able to find on-street parking before, but now that they moved to Walnut St., it's impossible and I hate parking garages and valet.
Also, what's up with the upstairs location? An elevator or a couple of flights of stairs to get into the restaurant? Very inconvient.
I'm glad they opened a location in King Of Prussia. That's where I go now.
Anyway, the food and service is great!

Terrible Experience

We've been to many Mortons across the U.S. and Canada and recently had an unbelievably horrible experience at the Philadelphia location. We had to beg someone to come by so that we could order wine, were missing bread plates, steak knifes, sides that we had ordered. To top it all off though, the four of us all ordered steaks. Three were fine, the fourth was delivered very rare, when it had been ordered medium rare. It was taken back to the kitchen after 15 minutes wait only to return completely charred. Manager and wait staff were of no help and ignored us throughout the evening. Try any other Mortons and hope that this place gets its groove back within the next year.

One of the few restaurants no matter where you go the food is exactly the same. The Bisque is to die for, the Soufflee's are incredible, and the steaks are the best anywhere. Shula's is rated higher??? Please, not even in the same league.

Missed at Morton's

We were disappointed with our meal recently at Morton's. The mashed potatoes were down-right bad. And, the steaks that the 3 of us ordered medium to medium-well were charred on the outside and less than tender. We will not be returning.

Highly Recommended

My wife and I went to Morton's in King of Prussia to celebrate my birthday, and boy were we pleased. Everything from our seats to the waitstaff to the meal was excellent. My wife had the crabcakes and you would swear you were eating at a seafood restaurant at the Shore. I had the Cajun ribeye, and it was the best steak I have ever had, bar none. The Godiva chocolate cake dessert was excellent, words cannot describe how good the center part was. All in all, definitely a place we'll go back to.
