Kaplan

My husband ordered a $5000 bedroom suite from Mike Kaplan. He charged the deposit of $2500 to our credit card and said it would be a delivery time of 12 weeks. Mike Kaplan went out of business on a weekend took our $2500 and never ordered the furniture for us. We have received a bankruptcy notice for Kaplans and the manufacturer of our bedroom furniture told us many other people who ordered ahead of us also had their money taken from a credit card for their deposits. In my opinion this is a theft over $1000 which results in a felony crime. Prior to ordering we checked the Better Business Rating of this company and it appeard to be just fine. Now I think the rating was not a current one. On other blogs I read that Mike Kaplan said he was on vacation and over the weekend he moved furniture out of the store! This man is a thief and needs to be made to pay for his crimes. Sheila
