    Worst Eyebrow Wax - Beware

    Provided by

Do not have your eyebrows waxed by Lisa. Not only did she take off the majority of my eyebrows, they are not even!! It will take over a year for my brows to grow in.

Makes me feel great all over

    Provided by

I came across juju by chance but it was my lucky day. After years of thinking I had to wear my wavy hair short , have it chemically straightened, and wash and blow it dry every day to control it, I learned that I can wear it long, wash it once or twice a week with beautiful-smelling organic products and have the silky, shiny hair I always wanted. And my color looks natural and smells great from day one. \r \r I wasnt sure at first if I was too old for juju but I was warmly welcomed and left feeling like family. \r \r Speaking of family, now my three adult children are juju customers, too!

    Afternoon of beauty at Juju

    Provided by

wanted to recommend Juju for Skin, hair and color! This was my first time at this salon, having been just about everywhere in Philly over the last 20 years. It hits that perfect balance of really chic yet really comfortable. No pretentious attitude to be found) I left there feeling like I had been on a vacation. Dont miss Renee's facial ( I will never go anywhere else) and Erin for hair was great!!

I still get compliments on my haircut after 3 months :)

    Provided by

Christie at Juju gave me a pixie crop haircut 3 months ago and it still gets compliments from random strangers. :) It's growing out so gracefully without any shape issues - which I think is the mark of a really good haircut - I love it! She must have used a very sharp razor too because I don't have any splits yet. Hannah is amazing too ... she gave me several really beautiful haircuts and she has a knack for picking colors that worked well with my skin color. I love this salon in general ... the atmosphere is so clean and relaxed and comfortable and the products are safe for my super-sensitive skin. It's one of the few salons where I really feel comfortable. They were also so nice about doing a free color correction one time when I thought the highlights were too light for me. And there's that awesome tea shop right across the street. :)

Would not go back again for pedicure and mani

    Provided by

I had a spa pedicure and manicure. The retro chair was darling and blended in just swell with the decor. But it was uncomfortable as all hell. I felt like I had to hang on to the end edge of the chair in order not to fall off. It is not a regular pedicure chair but an old upholstered chair with no arms and leans to one side because it's old. The pedicure was nothing special and I didn't feel like i was getting any special pampering for the price. Water is poured into a basin from another room and was lukewarm at best and barely covered my ankles. The products are good but the application left much to be desired. There is no privacy and it is not a tranquil environment, so I didn't feel relaxed when it was over, just happy to be out of the chair I was trying not to fall out of. The manicure was just more of the same. I have not been to the spa, but perhaps that may be a better place to move the manicure and pedicure facilities to, if it can accommodate it. I'm assuming it's a more tranquil environment.

    color washes right out

    Provided by

Went to ju ju once and will not be returning. Had a great cut and awful color. It was over 200.00 ( which was never discussed until I reached the counter) and washed out in ONE DAY. They take advantage of you and try to sell you tons of products to ""keep the color"". You should not need to spend an extra 50.00 on special shampoo. Total waste of money...

    Charming Salon with Excellent Stylists

    Provided by

If you enjoy a relaxed, warm, at home atmosphere then there is no salon that I could better recommend than JuJu. Everything from the decor to the staff is charming and inviting. The friendly greeting, the warm cup of tea, and the beautiful aromas all contribute to making your visit to JuJu a truly wonderful experience. While all of these things are absolutely great, they are just a plus for me because what I am truly looking for is fabulous hair when I walk out of the salon. Luckily, JuJu is able to give me ALL of that! From the day JuJu opened I have been a customer, and from the day JuJu opened I have heard nothing other than compliments about how fabulous and beautiful my hair looks. My color is always vibrant and rich, and my cut is always precisely what I'm looking for. I have also gone to JuJu for a couple of special occasions, and my hair has always looked fit for any red carpet. Julie has truly brought her own charisma to the salon, and I can't imagine going anywhere else. \r \r So if gorgeous hair is what you're looking for, rest assured that JuJu Salon & Organics is 100% the salon for you!

    Rush to the finish

    Provided by

I have been going to Juju for a while, and I'd say that my experiences with cuts and color have been 90% positive. My last experience was good, except that the finishing touches of the cut were totally rushed and I got some lasting neck irritation from sloppy razoring and lost about half a sideburn in the process. I really like the salon and the stylists, but I plan to go elsewhere if something like that happens again. When you spend that much money on your hair, you want to walk out the door feeling confident and like you were taken care of.

Great Place to get your haircut.

    Provided by

cr040378...I dont understand how you had a bad experience @ JuJu? Between the atmosphere and the talented stylist, you should have walked out of there happier than ever. Camille has to be one of the most talented stylist in the city. Though she has never cut my hair she used to cut my best friends hair and also my mothers hair. My mother has thin hair and Camille took the time to examine it and give her the proper cut and style. Every time she cut my mothers hair, my mother would look, and feel 15 years younger. She loved it. Even though my mother hasn't gotten it styled from Camille in a few months, she always looked amazing. I also watched Camille cut hair for a full day and never once did I see her give an attitude to anyone (she is extremely friendly) and everyone that left looked beautiful. I guarantee the people that snickered were jealous (and insecure) and you probably looked great. Everyone leaves Camille's chair (and JuJu) looking amazing. -Gerry

Not happy but a good experience

    Provided by

I've been to many hair salons in my time and decided to try out JuJu Salon because it was very close to my work.\r The stylist (Kamil) they set me up with had a different style then most girls I've ever gotten a cut before from. Though she seemed friendly at first she seemed to not cut my hair the way I wanted it, and also colored my hair way too dark. When I asked her ""If my hair is supposed to be this color"" She replied with a simple ""Yes it is."" I didn't understand why she gave me that tone but I assume most stylist know best. When I went back into the office some people snickered at me and the guy I was dating at the time really disliked my hair.\r \r Though the place was nice I do not recommend my stylist, try one of the other girls.

    One word - Excellent

    Provided by

I have a very thin hair. It always used to be damaged from the regular hair colors. However, since I started going to Juju (for the past one year), I don't have these problems any more. Juju uses organic hair colors that keep my hair healthy and undamaged. Also, the complete service is excellent - I love my hair cut. I did my hair couple days ago and got so many compliments so far.

Great first experience with cut & color

    Provided by

I went to Juju for the first time 2 weeks ago. I?d been growing out my hair for about 2 years to donate it. I decided that I wanted an updated style and to have it colored to cover my grays. This was the first time ever that I got it colored. I did not want to use toxic chemicals for color, so I decided to go to Juju. The salon atmosphere was very warm and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed my conversation with Mackenzie, who calmed my nerves and followed my requests. The color was exactly what I wanted and the cut met me criteria. I wasn?t so sure about the look of the haircut as I left the salon (mostly because it was a shock to have it 10"" shorter), but when I went out that weekend I received more compliments on my haircut than ever before. The cut has been easy to manage and style on my own. I will definitely return to Juju and would recommend the salon and Mackenzie.

I just wanted to write a quick note here about how much I loved my recent experience at juju. From the sweet girl at the desk to the amazing cut I got from Yanka.(sorry if I am spelling that wrong!)I am so glad that I followed my friend's advice and tried this place out. I love juju! Thanks Yanka ...I'll be back.

    Best Organic Cut & Color

    Provided by

Once you go to juju you will not want to go anywhere else. Super friendly and comfortable atmosphere and the best organic products to leave you super healthy and beautiful! I can't imagine anyone giving this place a bad review unless they had some other agenda. The spa is equally awesome. Definitely green and chic and fabulous!

    Great environment, better haircuts

    Provided by

I've been looking for something different for a while to do with my hair and I just didn't know what. In the past years when I decided to change some things about my life, I've been searching out new and healthy ways to live my life. I went vegan a few years ago, lost weight and am now trying to eat raw to feel as great as I can. A friend of mine told me about juju being an organic salon and that sounded very appealing. As soon as you walk into juju you're met with a very relaxed and unassuming environment, unlike most salons I'd ever been to. Met with warm vanilla tea and a friendly desk girl, I sat and looked through some japanese hair style magazines to get some idea for a new cut. My stylist Mackenzie was very friendly and seemingly excited to work with me to get a new style. I went with her suggestions, somewhat asymmetrical cut, short on one side, longer on the other. I have received more complments on my haircut than I have ever before, even as it has grown out somewhat. Juju s really ahead of the curve. Great products to style my hair, I even got some shampoo for my dachshund, all of it organic and non-toxic. I'm definitely excited to go back in a few weeks. Highly recommended.

    Rip off!

    Provided by

I recently got my haircut at JuJu and i was SO disappointed. Hands down, this is one of the worst cuts I have ever gotten!! It was NOT AT ALL what I asked for. I am incredibly upset. To top it off, I bought shampoo and conditioner from them, max green alchemy, only to find out that MOKO sells the SANE products for SIGNIFICANTLY less!!! I will NEVER return to JuJu, I regret trying the salon out in the first place. BEWARE!!

    worst haircut ever

    Provided by

I just received the worst haircut of my life from one of the stylists at this salon. I'd go back before writing a bad review if I thought it would help, but I know that it can't be fixed and don't trust her to try. My hair has been so thinned out that there is practically nothing left, and the cut itself is just awful. I'm very upset. I don' t feel comfortable giving her name, so I'll just wish you luck if you decide to try Juju.

    Amazing service!!!

    Provided by

I had scheduled an appointment for a wedding updo on extremely short notice. Mackenzie not only managed to fit me in for a trial AND the real deal, she came in hours before the salon opened on the Sunday of Memorial day weekend to do it. The style turned out perfectly (I asked for her advice and she came up with some beautiful half up half down concoction that I loved) and I got about a million compliments on it. I can't wait to go back and get my hair cut there! All my friends that have done so come back with amazingly gorgeous, yet easy to wear hairstyles that are super flattering on them....\r

    Great cut and color

    Provided by

After having long hair for many years I decided to get an updated style with highlights. I did not want to use toxic chemicals for color so juju's products were exactly what I was looking for. I went to Camille and could not have been happier with both my amazing cut and color. The salon is a great place to get your hair done, it is a relaxed atmosphere with very nice stylists and receptionists. I would highly recommend juju salon and Camille or Erin (who has cut my hair in the past).
