The service was horrible and sloppy. It was very unprofessional and I give my self a better manicure and pedicure. I understand now why all the oriental people have the market on the nail business. And for my hair OMG I had to come home and fix it. This was my second visit since the new staff and it will be my last.. I did not enjoy what was suppose to be a relaxing day. DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY

i went here to get my legs waxed for the first time - i didn't want to be shaving while on vacation. The girl was nice although the room was cramped. And the worst part was that the girl waxing my legs completely missed patches on the sides of my legs!!!!!! I still had to shave on vacation these stubbly patches and it completely defeated the purpose of my visit. Quality left more to be desired...

I absolutely LOVE this salon! There is nothing better than waking up on my day off and heading to BW for the works! Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. I wouldn't trust anywhere else with my salon/spa services. I have to mention that I saw the negative review above and was a little surprised. I have been going there for years and have had updos. Not only was I never unhappy, but I find it hard to believe that the person at the front desk spoke like that. That is not how BW handles thier clients. It sounds like a case of a prom mom ""trying to keep up with the Joneses"".

I went to beautyworx for the first time a few months ago. I was refered by my sister who has gone there for years. The salon itself is beautiful and the staff is extremely courteous. I must say that I was surprised to read the bad review from the woman who's niece didn't get what she wanted for her prom. It was probably a case of an over bearing control freak of a mother who was angry because she and her daughter disagreed on which style she should have for her prom. I have been back to beautyworx a few times since March for a variety of different services and I have been nothing but pleased. The salon is spotless and has a great atmosphere. Every operator has been very warm and welcoming. I would and have recommend all of my friend and family to beautyworx!

My neice went here for her 1st prom, it wasn't what she asked for and the stylist tweaked it, it looked nice. When we were leaving, the older lady at the front desk, Lois Burak, (also the owner) tried to charge us $120 b/c she had to charge us twice for the touch up, but she would do us a favor and only charge us $75. She told my sister, ""it ain't our fault if your daughter doesn't know what the hell she wants"" I was embarrassed for my neice. She's so shy and nice. I made a calls to salons downtown, explaining the situation, I was told this should not have happened! One salon's exact words were ""if we can't produce what you had in mind, that's on us, we don't point fingers at the client, our stylists hold themselves accountable for their work."" This place may look nice on the outside but it's trash. I feel bad for the stylist, it's not her fault we won't be back to see her, or recommending her to anyone else.

I have been extremely happy with all my services at Beautyworx. I began by getting my hair cut & colored there. Then I added nail service & now, I take advantage of the superior massages & facials. My husband gets me a gift certificate for all occasions- anniversary, birthday, etc. He knows a masage at Beautyworx is my favorite gift. The place has been recently redone & looks great!!!!!!!!!
