REPLY TO "JUST AWFUL" Concerning the specifics of joerf48, the financial part of the transaction was screwed up because she used a debit card that had an insufficient amount to cover the 50% deposit. The debit card transaction was cancelled and a credit card was used. Unfortunately, banks will hold back money on debit cards for days before it is returned and available to be used. The transaction was resolved once the banks caught up with everything. The initial Range top was refused by the distributor (never got to us) and a rush order was sent to the factory to build another ASAP - Note: Special Order! The ventilation hood comes in a sealed box from the factory - it is opened at the client's home. Though the hood was received damaged, the piece was replaced within the week, and the contractor was free to use whatever parts of the damaged hood that he needed to keep the job on schedule. The Island trim may have arrived damaged from the distributor, but another well packed replacement was sent out to AIRS rather than the client, and that piece was in the client's hand within 24hours. Final point - everything has been completed, delivered and installed. With special orders like this one, AIRS Appliances is totally dependent on the manufacturer & distributor as to arrival time and state of packed/sealed appliances. Pretty good followup to uncommon situations.
I would highly recommend this service company. I just purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator. The day the unit was installed into my home, the water switch would not turn off. The dealer where I purchased the unit, and who was installing it, called into Quaker City Service for service. I was scheduled for the very next day. I was told when I was scheduling the appointment that I would not get a time frame the night before, but that a tech would call me in the morning between 8-9 A.M to give a window. This was a little frustrating since I could not plan out my day, but I put in a request to have morning service. The day I was scheduled, the technician called at 8:15 and gave me a time frame between 9:30-11:30. He came to my home within the time frame, and had the part needed to fix my refrigerator in his truck. While it was unfortunate to need service on a brand new refrigerator, I was very impressed by the way I was treated by Quaker City Service.
EXCELLENT Service all around!!! I expected to be disappointed based on several reviews; and a non-existent appointment supposedly scheduled by an inept Whirlpool representative however, from my first call to Quaker City, Dawn and Alyssa made sure my appointment went through correctly by contacting the Whirlpool representative directly to help her schedule the appointment correctly and followed up with me by calling me to confirm the appointment!! Now THAT'S good customer service!! The technician Roger Carlin was professional, polite, knowledgeable and very helpful with advice to better utilize my appliances. He patiently answered my numerous questions, ordered the necessary parts and returned when he said he would to make the repairs. Quaker City surpassed all my expectations and I'm happy I used their services, would recommend them wholeheartedly and would definitely use them again. Kudos to all!!!
