My sister and I was visiting friends and went to Papa Lou's for dinner. The first night we went we had cheezy bread and then a pizza. It was delicious. We even went back the next night for more. Our server was great too and was very friendly. Matter of fact, we are planning another trip back up there and cannot wait to head over for some great pizza. Why does everyone have a problem with this place? First of all, it is a bar so if you don't like the atmosphere - DON'T GO. As for people with bad language - you can get that anywhere you go. I don't let a few idiots stop me from enjoying some good food.

We came here for dinner on a Friday night in March. Not a whole lot open in the area during the winter months but this was recommended to us from the women who works at the winery there in town. The service was great, they werent overly busy but tables were full. Our waiter was nice...filled my water up whenever it was low, checked up on us often. My husband had a beer and another waiter had seen it was empty and came by to grab the glass asking if he needed another. A lot of the staff was like this, they worked well with eachother. We both ordered our own pizzas and they were great. I was pleased overall.
We showed up at 10:50am, they open at 11:00am. As we opened the back door to ask if they were open, we were warmly greeted and told "the kitchen will be reliable in ten minutes, let me get a table and a server for you, we can start you off with some drinks" our server, Nikki or Nicole, she was phenomenal!!! she was so friendly, even though she had probably just arrived...we go the fried zucchini for an appetizer, you should too! Both of our sandwiches were so tasty, wish we had gone back for dinner. The worst part of our meal was deciding which delicious thing to get!
