Pediatric Care

Macular Degeneration
Macular degeneration is an eye disease that occurs when the retina’s central portion known as the macula starts showing signs of wear. He actively participates in medical missions to countries such as Africa, Costa Rica and Honduras. As a VisionQuest doctor he provides complimentary eye examinations and glasses for children in need. His participation with the American Optometric Association’s InfantSEE program allows him to provide one free eye examination for infants younger than 12 months of age. Dr. Reynolds also participates with the Health and Hope clinic to provide eye care for individuals in need.

Diabetic Retinopathy
Diabetic retinopathy occurs when there is damage to blood vessels in the retina. The blood vessels sustain damage over time, and this damage gradually worsens in the late stages of diabetes. Anyone with diabetes is at risk of developing diabetic retinopathy.

Ultrasound
Optical Coherence Tomography obtains sub-surface images of translucent or opaque materials at a resolution equivalent to a low-power microscope. It is effectively "optical ultrasound," imaging reflections from within tissue to provide cross-sectional images. OCT delivers high resolution because it is based on light rather than sound or radiofrequency.
