I've gone in to this Cuts By Us on 3 seperate occasions. The first time I took my 4 y/o daughter in for her first haircut and we saw Denise. She was very pleasant and was chatting and playing around w/ my daughter as she cut her hair. This helped SOO much as my child is a special needs child and was a little scared. I had simply asked to have the dead ends trimmed (ok she was 4, her hair was to her bottom and never been cut before, I fully expected a good 2-3 in would be cut off b/c there was alot of dead, dry hair needing to come off) and her hair needed to be cut so it was even and not so many random lengths. 20 min later she declared she was done... ummm... she'd trimmed maybe 1/2 in off total and insisted that was all that was needing trimmed. I asked about it being evened out on the ends and was told that 'due to her hair being curly it looks to be different lengths, but it's not' Annoyed that I just wasted my money on a cut that was not satisfactory, I took my child home. About 2 months later I took my other daughter in for a trim and was seen by a man, Ricky, who was amazing! He trimmed her hair and insisted how she was going to look just like a princess, etc. She loved every minute of him doing her hair. He was great! Trimmed it beautifully and she left so proud of her new cut. Because we were so impressed w/ him, two days later I took my 4y/o back in to see him. Again great haircut, he got rid of the 3 1/2 in of dead hair that needed trimmed.. which should have been taken care of the first time!! She now has much healthier looking hair! I wouldn't even give a single star based on the cut by Denise, however due to the great job Ricky did, I can make it up by giving this place 3 stars. I will probably not return again for anything shy of a trim for my kids.

Remember that pink building on Michigan ave. Just west of w st.? Yes, the one by big easy pawn shop. Well I went in there and WOW they really have given that building a "New Image". The shop owner Shirley is (very) friendly and she can really give you not only a new image but brighten your day. (She is not one of the "I'll do what I think you want" she really LiStEnEd to ME). While I was waiting (not long), there was a group of satisfied customers leaving. I asked them what the fuss was about and they all showed me their hands. Now I know this is going to sound crazy but seriously. I had heard through word of mouth about this nail tech that "Candy~Koats" nails, I always chuckled inside (not today). She is phenomenal ( words CAN'T describe). I walked in looking like a trainwreck, and walked out a Woman with a New Image! A++... oh, if you are concerned about cost, they are highly competive with the "other places". I need not look any more I have found a Nail Tech and Beautician I adore! Thank you Shirley and Candy you made my hard work pay-off. Sincerly a huge fan!)*
I really like going here, unfortunately its across town and I rarely have time anymore. They stay fairly busy, but really take the time to take care of you. I am always offered wine, coke, or water. If I am waiting on a pedicure and chair is available, they let me sit down and relax until a technician is available. They treat their clients like family. I am fairly ticklish and one of the problems I often have is as soon as a technician knows I am ticklish they stop trying to smooth my feet. I never have this problem at Nail Lounge. They simply smile and laugh with me as they work to make my feet nice and smooth. The few times my paint job has been smudged before leaving or shortly after, they take me right back and fix the smudge. They introduced me to shellac and when I can afford it, I do that instead - no smudge! As for the previous reviews, clearly they didn't ask anyone to address their concerns, because the owner is very proactive at keeping her customers satisfied. If she knew, she would fix it.
