Heartland Kennels

Absolutely amazing! I have two dogs and each have their own behavioral issues. The staff worked w/ them and weren't put off by them. My babies were boarded for 5 days and when we picked them up they were happy and smelled so good!

They treat the dogs so kindly and listened to all the notes I told them about my dogs since they can be a handful. Not to mention they get back to you same day when you email them and they don't seem like it's a chore. I know my dogs are not the easiest kids to take care of and Heartland Kennels did a top notch job of caring for them and being safe!

The grooming is stupendous! I'm a groomer myself and I've had my one male dog bathed at other boarding kennels only to come home with scabs on his head from where he was no doubt fighting the hose or dryer. The people at HK put him in a cage dryer once they saw he was frightened of the hose kind and didn't try to force him w/ it just to get the job done faster. I cannot stop singing the praises of the groomers there! My shar-pei mix female, who always stinks the next day after a bath, still smells like daises(not to mention how freaking shiny she is!) two days after picking them up from HK!!

I am just in awe of this place, an absolute gem of a find! If you're sick of pushy groomers, unfriendly or stand off-ish staff, or worrying non-stop about your fur babies being boarded make the switch and use Heartland Kennels! The staff are friendly and CPR/Pet first aid certified so no need to fret! Not to mention the amount of care and quality you receive for such reasonable prices is just a bonus!

I'm a hard sell when it comes boarding kennels, I've tried plenty, but I think I've finally found The One with HK!

Vickie and her staff are so kind to the animals. It is as though they are all part of her family. Prices are reasonable for both boarding and grooming and the facility is very clean. I would recommend Heartland to anyone with large or small dogs or cats. They would feel right at home while they are visiting.
