You were reading a complaint about Sports Authority.

Filing a new complaint about
I recently visited the Sports Authority in Pembroke Pines, Fl. and had one of the most horrendous shopping experiences in my life.

First of all, after arriving at the store knowing exactly what I wanted (from online shopping the previous night), I was unable to find assistance in purchasing a heavy punching bag stand after approaching three employees who were all busy. After 25 minutes, I found a young man who was about to go on lunch who was willing to help. He was obviously a new employee and wrote a work-order up for us with assistance of a manager.

While cashing out at the register, the manager refused to acknowledge the existence of a $25 gift card which was advertised clearly in the weekly circular and online. After displaying a "get them out of here" attitude, the manager ran my debit card on a touch screen machine, that had a broken screen thus forming a line behind us. She then told me that the machine can not take cards right now and I must use cash, which I did not have enough of on me furthering embarrassment.
