Pearland Driving School West

Very frustrated. Before signing my child up, I called to enquire about the time the school closes. I let them know that I can't pick up my child before 6, becauseI work so far. They assured me that I could pick her up at anytime before 8pm. That it wouldn't be a problem because they have a place where she can sit and do her homework while she waits.That was not the case. On top of that, they didn't tell me the school closes early on Fridays. Then another day, they closed early because another school needed the instructor.
Now that it's time to schedule her driving lessons, I can't. We were informed that the driving lessons book up as quickly as they are open. So we are expected to continuously check the site, through out the day, to grab a spot. I paid the money for this place because they assured me everything was hassle free. This is now a hassle. For 4 days now I'm checking the site as often as I can, and have still yet to book even ONE driving lesson!!! Good bye $465 that I will never see again. They will pocket it and we will never have gotten those driving lessons we paid for!! I have another child that needs Driver's Ed in the summer. I'll sign him up for an online course. Forget this place!!! I do NOT recommend it at all!!

I would definitely recommend Pearland Driving School. Both of my girls completed the classes. Staff was very professional and we even utilized the transportation on a few occasions from Dawson. It definitely helped if we were unable to get home in time from work to drop them off. Things couldn't have run any smoother. It was a very smooth process. Front desk personnel walked me through DPS process so I was prepared with all forms needed for completing the on the road test. Highly recommend.

My step-daughter is currently attending this school. When I called to sign her up, I was assured that she would be able to have her driver's license by the beginning of Fall classes. She has completed the written portion but has only been on 2 drives since her first class (July 14). I call and leave messages and I am never called back. I go up there to ask why we can't schedule drives and all I am told is that they don't have weekend hours and they are short staffed. If you are short staffed then only book class sizes that you can actually accommodate. When I do go into the office there only ever seems to be 1 person working the desk. There is a dark haired woman that is employed there but I never actually see her working. When customers walk in, she doesn't greet them or even acknowledge them. The line of people needing help will be out of the door and she is sitting on the couch chatting with the kids.

THIS SCHOOL IS BEYOND TERRIBLE! Their actions can be consider fraud. Credit Card Abuse is a crime. Trust me you do not want your child attending here, if you do ...don't say you wasn't warned.



I brought my son and we were promised that we could transfer from their 77581 location to the 77584 (I now live in Silverlake) I had tried to switch him to finish the training and all I got was the run around. They took my money and didn't deliver on anything they promise. GO ONLINE and let your CHILD take the written test. It will be cheaper and they will mail the results right away. They also have all their information posted and displayed properly. Seek another driving school for the driving part. The Director of Pearland Driving School will soon see her voice mail on yahoo so other people can see how professional she is not. Actions bring about actions. I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone. I will also be contacting Dawson High School, Alvin and Pearland about my experience. I think it is time someone investigated them. Being in business for many years is a good thing, but it doesn't mean you have integrity and honesty and it doesn't mean you have good business ethics. Finally, if you notice the good reviews were done by the school owners and staff. If a school has to go online and post false reviews. You get the idea. BBB you're next.

I thought this would have been easier than teaching my own child. I had taught one already but just didn't have the time with the 2nd one. Silverlake Driving school is horrible. We originally schedule a summer time from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm as advertised on their website. 3 days before the class starts - they informed us the time changed from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. We live a very very busy schedule and it had to take some adjustments to get it done. Had we known we would have picked another school. Now again we are limited to when the student can drive, I have called repeatly to get the specific time to drive and now we are 1 month out to her next drive time. They take on more students than they can handle. It is just a money pit for them and getting these kids to their school. Unless you have time to spare, which we don't then this is the school for you. The comment is they have 6 months to complete this - what parent and/or student wants to wait 6 month to complete the mandated times? Yea, right.

Just because a business has been around for a long time does not mean it offers a good service. These people are less than honest about who they are. They told me I was at SILVERLAKE DRIVING SCHOOL when it was PEARLAND DRIVING SCHOOL.

Any business that would misrepresent who they are just to mislead people are suspect!

Just wanted to say THANKS to this school. I had a very good experience with them!

My daughter and her friends took driving lessons from Pearland driving school and really enjoyed the instructors friendly, helpful ways of teaching the course. The school is also in a great location right in the heart of Silverlake in Pearland! Thanks Pearland Driving School for helping my daughter be a safe driver!

My Son Went To This Driving School...not only have they been in business since 1978, they know how to teach with a very patient manor....Thanks for being there Pearland Driving School....Highly Recommend Pearland Driving School...
