All dogs need a routine health evaluation at least twice per year and cats at least annually. Another lab test that is super important is a fecal examination. This test requires a small amount of fecal matter and checks for intestinal parasites, giardia and different types of bacteria. Intestinal parasites are zoonotic meaning they can be passed from your pet to you or your family members therefore this test is necessary semi-annually to ensure safety for you and your pet.
Behavioral Disorder Treatment
We offer basic bathing and trimming services for both dogs and cats. We require you to schedule at least 24 hours in advance so we can reserve kennel space. All dogs must be up to date on their Annual Exam, Distemper/Parvo vaccine, Bordetella (or Kennel Cough) vaccine, and Rabies vaccine before being bathed. All cats must be up to date on their Annual Exam, Feline Distemper, and Rabies vaccine before being bathed. If your pet is due, we are happy to perform your petâ€™s exam and vaccinations the day you arrive.

Laser therapy can be a helpful tool for animals that are recovering from surgery for orthopedic or neurological problems, have incurred injuries to joints or soft tissue, or suffer from chronic pain. Electrocardiography, also referred to as EKG, is a diagnostic tool used to measure the electrical activity of the heart. The recorded measurements are then reviewed by a cardiologist to screen for or monitor any heart conditions.

However, sometimes an extraction is the only option to relieve pain or ensure that periodontal disease does not advance. Dental Radiology
Every COHAT comes with Digital Dental Radiograph (â€œX-Ray) images of teeth and gums to identify problems, like cavities, tooth decay, and impacted teeth. Without these images we can only identify problems above the gum line, and missing sub-gingival issues can delay further needed medical treatment for the patient. Your veterinarian may find problems during the imaging that IS NOT included on the COHAT pricing such as needed extractions. If your veterinarian finds that additional care is needed, he or she will call you to discuss additional treatment needed and additional pricing before proceeding.
Microchipping
Our team members highly recommend microchipping all pets. Microchipping is a permanent means of identification and ensures a quick reunion if a pet is lost! Microchipping is affordable and can be done at any time by one of our trained team members.

Boarding
Boarding Requirements: All boarding and grooming guests must be vaccinated. Dogs need: Rabies, influenza (both strains), DHPP, Leptospirosis, and Bordetella. Cats need: Rabies, FVRCP and Leukemia. We also require guests to have a current negative fecal exam (within 1 yr).
Grooming
Senior Pet Care
Our doctors may recommend an EKG if they hear that your pet has a heart murmur during an exam, if we are planning to schedule anesthesia for your senior pet, or if they are experiencing any symptoms of heart related conditions. If your pet is experiencing symptoms such as lethargy, fainting, shortness of breath, or other irregular behaviors, contact us immediately as those could be indications of heart disease.
