I have searched and searched almost the entire City and suburbs for someone who actually understand jewelry repair and restoration. Sad to say no one did it right. One jeweler in the famed "jewelry district" on 49th Street, not only messed up the repair on a diamond ring which had much sentiment to me, but I allowed him to fix his mistake again, and on the 3 time, I discovered not only did he do it wrong, but I lost one of the sentimental diamonds, because of his lack of understanding on just how to repair this heirloom.. I was hysterical and a mess, as I knew no amount of money could replace what was lost.



I finally made a decision to go back to my Massachusetts roots, where I had lived for 25 years, and use a real hands on artisan who knew and understood jewelry. He fixed the ring to look like it was originally meant to look like. He explained why the other repairs did not work, it was pretty simple, the ring was platinum, and the New York jeweler used gold to make the repair. It takes a very special person to know what to do and how to work in platinum, as I discovered thru my research. I felt so happy and was reassured this time I would not be losing precious memories.



Then I went on to use this jeweler in Peabody, Massachusetts again, to reset my diamond engagement ring in the original setting, which was only enhanced by the work he did with the platinum.



I have since used this "diamond of a man" to repair so much else, from gold bracelets, to gemstones and more. Its sort of ironic, but he seems to beat the "Diamond District" prices each time I want to acquire a new piece of jewelry as well.

His word is his word. I never worry when my precious jewels are in his hands and care.
