He then completed his pediatrics residency at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Ho completed his pediatric cardiology fellowship at UCLA in 2012. He also completed the executive MBA program at the Anderson School at UCLA in 2014. Dr. Ho joined Pacific Pediatric Cardiology in 2013. He has a special interest in cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology. He enjoys spending time with his two children, hiking, playing basketball and golf.

Anxiety

Ultrasound
A transthoracic echocardiogram (TTE) is the most common type of echocardiogram, which is a still or moving image of the internal parts of the heart using ultrasound. In this case, the probe (or ultrasonic transducer) is placed on the chest or abdomen of the subject to get various views of the heart.

Wound Care
After the procedure, the patients return to the recovery area for observation. Most patients are discharged home after 6 hours of observation. Discharge instructions including wound care and follow up will be given during that time. Scheduled admissions and overnight stays are on a case by case basis and will be explained individually.

Dr. Sunny Chang grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. She attended UC Berkeley to obtain her B.S. in business administration at the Haas School of Business and after working in the tech industry, returned to school at Columbia University for her post baccalaureate studies. She received her MD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine then completed her pediatric residency at Stony Brook in New York. Following residency, she worked as a hospitalist at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles then returned to the East Coast to complete her fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Yale New Haven Hospital. She loves working with children and has interests in 2D imaging, preventative and sports medicine as well as health inequities impacting the pediatric population. In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis, watching sports, painting, traveling and spending time with her family in Santa Barbara.
