If you're a guest at the season's events, make sure that you're part of the celebration, not part of the problem
Some sports fans like to rock up to a bar and cheer on their team. Others live for the traditions: tailgating, party-hosting, and dressing head-to-toe in fan apparel. Here are so…
I ate at this unit while on a promotional tour to create brand awareness for my music nearing the end of summer 2012. The food was about 80 percent as good as I remembered. This was the first Rax that I had seen in nearly 5 years. This location is an original Rax building, unlike the most recent one I ate at (1301 South Main Street, Greensburg, PA) before this location, which had previously been a Belly Busters fast food in the 1990's. The Parkersburg location had that awesome red sign that said "Fast Food With Style" and a solarium, like the Rax I ate at as a child. The only thing missing was the buffet. The one I ate at as a child had both hot and cold food bars. The staff were very kind and I took an extended dinner break here at the Parkersburg location, which is a franchised unit. Rax's current website is http://www.raxroastbeef.com/ Check it out to find the closest location to you. With all of the wistful longing and nostalgia generating a great buzz for Rax around the web, I hope we'll see more units open up in surrounding areas and states!
Forget Bob Evans, if you're seeking excellent home cooking, look no further than Mary B's. I sampled and thoroughly enjoyed the "famous creamed chicken and biscuits." The portions are extremely generous and tender white meat chicken is served over homemade biscuits. Mary B's doesn't drown the entree in gravy and the meal is very reasonably priced. Save room for one of the many delicious desserts, even if you get a 'to go' box. If a customer leaves Mary B's hungry, it's no fault of Mary B's. While it's impossible to please everyone, even the most finicky person could easily find something well prepared and pleasing. The parking lot was crammed with cars and there were three places open for seating. This is a testament to the good food and friendly workers. Even if waiting for a table to become empty is necessary, it's well worth the wait.
I am never disappointed with the food I get here. Everyone is so nice and polite. They bend over backwards to make sure your happy. The food is amazing....Friday night is steak night and I suggest you try it!!! Mmm, mmm, good!!!
