We went to Chez Betty after reading glowing reviews online. We were greeted warmly and ushered into the dining room. As a professional interior designer the decor of the restaurant and the food/prices were polar opposites. The interior suggest "grandma's living room" while the prices lean more towards Vegas or NYC fine dining. The only positive thing I have to say is that the tomato soup was fairly good. Our waitress was very condescending and seemed more preoccupied in talking to guests in other servers areas. We had an appointment scheduled elsewhere and asked when our main entree would be ready. I was told that they had been "waiting on me to finish my soup" as if I was a 5 year old child in their grandmother's kitchen.
On our way out the manager (or owner) was also very disapproving of us leaving. I didnt feel like we had demanded anything extravagant but everyone acted very put out. My advice to Chez Betty is to "dress the part". You can't expect people to realize its fine dining when the surroundings suggest otherwise. Class it up Chez Betty.. and not just the decor. The snobby attitude of your staff has got to go.
Will not ever be back. I have not been so rudely treated at any restaurant.
