In operation since 1978, Care Plus NJ is a nonprofit organization that provides recovery-focused mental health and substance abuse services. The organization serves children, adults and their families in northern New Jersey, as well as manages outpatient centers and residential facilities. It also offers consulting services for businesses, schools, hospitals, nursing homes, community groups and higher education institutions. Care Plus NJ provides crisis intervention, mobile outreach, telephone screening, case management and advocacy services. In addition, the organization offers psychiatric evaluation, sheltered workshop, transitional housing, family respite, and medication administration and monitoring solutions. It provides supported employment, work incentive, and job coaching, readiness and development services. Care Plus NJ manages Care Plus Laser Imaging and Care Plus Janitorial Services.
