Best place ever. Been going here for a few years. Don't like telling of this secret place. Do know that they only take cash, no credit cards or checks. Bring in your own beer and enjoy. Believe me if you try this place you will never go anywhere else. Jimmy A.

i've been going to this hidden oysterbar since i was a little girl. the oysters are quickly shucked, and the baked oysters are SO delicious! my favorites are the chili and a few dozen raw oysters, especially when it's super cold outside! the only downside is that they're a little pricier than they use to be. other than that, i would've given 5 stars!

Gene's is the ultimate in fresh Appalachacola oysters. PERIOD!



Cold, fresh, briney, simple, homey, one of those little places that you drive by, see the parked cars, but never think you will go into. If you are an oyster nut, like myself, its not to be missed.



No beer, wine or liquor, but you can bring your own to compliment the quality oysters shucked before your eyes.



Quality that rivals, Acme in New Orleans, the Oyster Bar in NYC, and Spoto's in Jupiter Fl, at much less the price.



Gene cares about the quality and thats what makes it so damn good!
