I've been a customer at La Morenita Restaurant for more than a decade, but in the last 2 years service is so bad I doubt I will ever go back. The owner left to manage a new store (La Higuerita) in Belmont, and now his teenage daughters run things. Result? Atrocious service. Once, when only two other tables were occupied, I had to wait 40 minutes just to get an enchilada plate. Finished with your meal? Expect to wait 15 minutes or 20 minutes just to get the bill and pay. Where is the problem? Well, only one waitress manages more than a dozen tables and the cash register. Solution? They need at least two people waiting on customers. Verdict? Bad service simply kills this restaurant. This is unfortunate, because the food is good and the prices are fair.
