Business Details
The most important job of our salon coordinators besides running the front desk, is to find the best stylist to suit your needs. It means they must ask questions, show pictures occasionally and know the work of each stylist completely. Therefore, our salon slogan and MANTRA is "Let us match you...to the perfect stylist!" We love doing it, it's lot's of fun, and when stylist and client connect really well, we feel like we're making a difference in this world!

General Info
Hair International celebrates it's 22nd year at Stanford Shopping Center in Jan 2012. We have been voted best overall salon and best men's salon in the Palo Alto Weekly "Best of Palo Alto Readers Choice" award contest for five years in a row-2007,2008,2009,2010 and 2011.
We take a real interest in our community and send stylists to the Woodside Priory and the Menlo School for all their senior fashion shows. we take part in "Locks of Love" helping girls donate their hair to be made into wigs for cancer patients. We are involved in an at-risk teen program "Spark", wherein we provide a mentorship spot for 2 students every semester. Our most important contribution has been visiting sick patients at Stanford hospital and servicing their needs at a very minimal price. We have done this for 22 years, and it remains the most meaningful of all we do.

Associations
The salon owner, Pam, belongs to several community and business organizations. She has been and is presently the President of the Stanford Shopping Center Merchants Association.
She belongs to the Menlo Park local business association, the California Cosmetologists Association and sits on advisory boards for Skyline Beauty School and Marinello Beauty School.Hair International is very involved with the State Board of Cosmetology's apprentice program, wherein potential stylists train in-salon for 2 years.
We have a 5 stylist traveling styling team, who love doing runway models, photo-shoots, video's...just about anything new or different!

Best Stylist, Best Salon
I think Alma is the best hairstylist in Palo Alto. I do everything to my hair( highlights, flat-iron) and it always looks pretty.I can afford to come here, also, which is a big plus. Not nearly as expensive as one would think for Stanford mall. I always like my hair when I leave and I like wandering around Stanford so I go in a lot! Alma is intelligent so so I enjoy the conversation. Thank you, Alma!

For years I've had problems getting my hair color right. I finally went to Sharon at Hair International and she was able to figure out what was happening and got it right the first time. I'm a true believer.

YOU SUCK
I got the WORST service ever at this dump. The haircut was good, but as usual, the receptionist suck. Whats the problem people??? A patrons first impression is the front desk staff. If Alma didn't work there, you can bet your bottom dollar that I'd never set foot in that place again. I was pleasantly surprised a couple months ago when I came in for my haircut. There was definatley major improvement then. Too bad that didnt last. I hate feeling that I'm INTERUPTING the receptionist to inform her that I am here for an appointment, as she's stuffing food in her mouth!! To top it off, she then yells with food still in her mouth and licks her nasty fingernails right there at the front desk! I hate coming here! It's gross!! So, if anyone of anyone reads this that cares that is in a position to make some changes or rules..... DO IT!!! THIS IS WHAT YOUR VALUED CUSTOMERS SEE WHEN WE COME IN. You are damn lucky that you have some excellent hair cutters there or you'd be outta business.
