I called the office and asked how much a full set of dentures would be? I was told $3,500 and then set the appointment. They then said I would have to pay $120 for the first visit which was not included in the denture charges.
I went to the office and had to wait 30 minutes for my appointment. While I was waiting, I was told that we had to pay all charges up front and then collect from the insurance although under general information in their ad it indicates they work with most insurance companys.
I Was then ushered in to see Dr. Lew. He took one look at me and asked if I had thought of implants. Immediately, we got into the financial situation before he even looked at my mounth. He then examined my mouth for 2 minutes maximum. Somehow, during this conversation I was told that the cost for dentures was $3,500 for the uppers and $3,500 for the lower. $7,000 for dentures that should cost me no more than $3,000. I have worn dentures since I was 28 and am now 60.
The office then took the payment for $120 which I felt was not deserved, as I felt misled as one look in the mouth does not constitute a $120 fee.
