I absolutely enjoyed my experience at the Bella Luna. From the evenly priced menu, to the wonderful tasting food, to the eclectic selection of fine wines, this is definitely a place that anyone who enjoys good Italian cooking should visit. It is located on University Avenue in Downtown Palo Alto, just a few minutes' walk from the Caltrain station, 3 minutes from El Camino and 7 minutes from Hwy 101, which makes it easily accessible to folks in the City, with or without an automobile. The menu and warm atmosphere make the trip worthwhile. There are a few outdoor tables as well, so one can relax beneath the stars and enjoy a great meal and a bottle of fine wine with his/her favorite person, have a power lunch with a full staff ready to serve your every need, or just catch a quick snack and enjoy the Palo Alto weather. The owners are warm, welcoming, and have a knack for making any meal feel like a special occasion. If you're looking for a great restaurant to enjoy a fine European meal at an affordable price, The Bella Luna Italian Restaurant in Palo Alto, Ca is the place to visit, day or night!

Let me start by saying this: I LOVE this hotel. Their attention to detail is second to none. You have to love a place that offers free shoe shine, choice of five daily newspapers and linens and bedding that rivals those found in ANY home. The are two knocks on the hotel: 1) The location. The hotel sits atop of the University Ave. exit off the 101. At a recent stay at the hotel, my room view was filled with the jammed-packed 101 as well as the massive IKEA building. 2) The hotel is massive. This hotel is not the quaint traditional format of other Four Season. This one is an all-glass building that seems it can accommodate more than 2,000 guests.
I recently ate at this place, and I did think the courtyard was lovely. I would say the food was good. I would go again. The service was good, waiter was nice, and attentive. They have the heaters outside near each table so you can enjoy a comfy meal and not be cold. J.B.
