Knik River Lodge

Family of three stopped in for lunch today and we enjoyed the best seafood chowder we have ever ate. Living in Alaska you'd think we had tasted the best before now. I can't remember the waitress name but she was the sweetest thing. And so helpful. We will diffently return.

Most amazing place we stayed in Alaska. Peter, the proprietor, made sure that our visit was one we would never forget. We told him beforehand that we were visiting for our 30th wedding anniversary. We told him we would love to go on the wildlife and photography tour. He set us up with the perfect guide who was a professional photographer. He not only took great care of us and showed us some wonderful sites, he taught me many things that I didn't know as an amateur photographer. The pilot was amazing and made sure we were safe and saw many wonderful sights...and our last stop on our trip was on top of a glacier...Amazing. The cabins we stayed in were clean and neat. The food was amazing...it was so quiet and peaceful at Knik River Lodge. I know the next time we stay in Alaska, we will definitely be staying at Knik River Lodge. Hoping to get up there for the winter to see the Aurora Borealis!!!
