The Box Canyon Lodge & Hot Springs is a unique property located in the southwest corner of Ouray. Guests return year after year to the relaxing atmosphere of this lodge, with newcomers and repeat guests alike being welcomed as if they were life-long friends.With its peaceful location, clean, comfortable, nicely decorated rooms, meticulously-maintained grounds and warm, personal service, the Box Canyon Lodge & Hot Springs has become the home away from home for many of Ouray's visitors.Our beautiful Hot Springs offer a spectacular 360-degree view of the surrounding mountains. The Box Canyon Lodge & Hot Springs has been recognized by a variety of publications, receiving the Award of Excellence by the Colorado Connoisseur and Travel Holiday Magazine and was recognized in Sunset Magazine's Best of the West.The guests and their needs are the number one priority of our staff; no question or request is too insignificant.Hot Springs:Each of our four redwood tubs offers a spectacular 360-degree view of the surrounding mountains.Although the Ute Indians were the first ones to enjoy the hot springs on the property, the geothermal waters were first tapped for commercial use in 1925 for a healing sanitarium.Today, the Box Canyon Lodge & Hot Springs occupies a portion of that sanitarium and now offers outdoor mineral hot springs tubs terraced on the mountainside immediately behind the lodge.
