The food will not be like the way my grandma makes it, of course. Durangos food is very close to authentic Mexican food. I know what authentic food tastes like because i grew up eating it. One of the first things that I look at and taste are the chips and salsa. The chips are good but the salsa so so, you will agree if you like it spicy. Their beans and rice are good, and their enchiladas are ok. I have been to Durangos several times and would recommend others to go there every now and then, but not every week.

Lee Engleman knows how to treat people right. We have had 175 meals or more in his dining rooms and enjoyed every one. His staff are professionals who go out of their way to take care of you. The sandwhiches are always delightful and if it doesn't taste right, just ask for an adjustment and it is done. I am surprised he doesn't run all of the Wisconsin Cinders (Appleton, Mayville) restaurants as they could take a hint from him as to how to run a restaurant.
My family loves Durangos. We eat there about once a week. I have had most things on their menu but our favorite is chicken melansa (spelling?)! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, and the portions are huge!
