I write this not as a parent but as a former employee, I saw the things that don't come up on the camera's inside of the classrooms. Things parents miss when they're working or busy with life. I write this to give parents out there a sense of the fear that settled into my soul after I got hired to work in the same daycare my little brother had previously been attending.

At first Sat child in Waterford Lakes seemed like a wonderful place for kids to be, that is until I started on my first day. I worked in almost every classroom, I was a floater (meaning I go where I am needed but mainly I stayed in the infant room, toddler rooms, and the 3-5 age room)

I will keep the names of students and teachers out of this review for their own safety.

I have seen teachers shout directly into the ears of children, talk poorly about a specific child IN FRONT OF THAT CHULD as if he wasn't in the room. I have witnessed teachers throwing students belongings (including clothing) into a garbage can that was filled with dirty diapers, food, and trash. I have witnessed children hit their heads and cry and instead of the teacher comforting the student the poor child would hear "well if you weren't fidgeting, you wouldn't have hit your head, now go to sleep."

I have seen teachers pull and yank kids off the floor from their arms so hard one day a child had to go to the nurse because his arm was in so much pain. I have seen teachers lay their hands on kids because they (and I kid you not) 'took their shoes off during lunchtime'. Babies as young as 3 months old get ignored while crying because 'they just want attention.' The list goes on honestly. I would go home crying so many days because I did not have it in my heart to be hard on these wonderful kids who honestly were the loves of my life. My heart aches for them almost everyday and I hope they are doing well.

My point is you can do what you like with your child but I warn you to really think before you drop them off and drive away.
