Disappointed with the dentist
The staff is friendly. I was given a treatment plan & I specifically asked if there were any additional charges beyond it & told no (at the time). I was very nervous because I hadn't had dental work in years, but the hygienist was very patient. They started the procedure & stopped mid-way. They were confused about my paperwork--what exams had (not) been done & couldn't find my treatment plan. I was told that it was a good thing that I had come in & that I would be rescheduled for the rest of the procedure at no additional charge. To which I replied ""What? Please finish, I don't want to go through this again when it can be finished now, as you can see I'm very nervous."" They replied ""Sorry, we have another patient waiting."" I asked for a partial refund for the part of the procedure they didn't do (through no fault of my own). A worker said that my $350 did not cover a part of the procedure that still needed to be done. It would be another $35 a tooth. I reiterated what I had been told would happen during the procedure that I paid for & asked to see where this $35 a tooth was on the treatment plan. I was told ""I don't know why it isn't there."" (If they even found the plan.) I said that I didn't feel comfortable having any more work done there...please I'd like a partial refund. I was told that the dentist would be consulted about what happened. I received a call 1 full week later stating that the dentist said they would reschedule the dental work at no additional charge & ""sorry"" on behalf of the worker who called, not the dentist. There was no response to my refund request. At my 1st appointment, the dentist made a point to tell me that my work would be expensive, but I shouldn't take chances with my health & that at her practice I could be confident I would receive excellent care. Yet she didn't feel that this situation merited a minute of her time to call me. If I make a mistake, I admit it and try to make it right. I would not trust this dentist.
