I'm sorry to say that I had a very similar experience to the first reviewer of Dr.Pope's practice.
I purchased 2 groupons for spider vein treatment, and was gifted one by a friend. Each groupon was good for 2 sessions. When I claimed my first groupon, I was asked if I could use my subsequent groupons for other services because they had sold too many groupons. That probably should have been a red flag, but I ignored it. Who asks clients who paid for a specific service to use their money for something they did not request? I went ahead and had the second session done weeks after the first one, as was recommended. Unfortunately, I did not see any improvement in my spider veins.
I had my appointment scheduled for the second groupon last November, and just before 5pm, the day before my appointment, I got a voicemail from Vickie stating that they had to reschedule my appointment because the doctor had decided to schedule surgery the next day. I haven't ever been to a professional medical office that does something like this at the last minute.
When I called the following Monday to reschedule the appt their office cancelled, I was informed by the receptionist that they had no more openings for the rest of the year. Their office was closed for several days during November and December. I expressed concern that my groupons were going to expire at the end of the year, and I was told not to worry about it, because the office would honor my groupons. They did not give me a time frame on how long I had to schedule.
Low and behold, when I tried to schedule a laser treatment, or even use the groupons for another service, I was told that they were expired and that I had to go to groupon with any complaints. Apparently, groupon can't do anything either.
Honestly, it's not about the $200 worth of groupons that I was prohibited from using at this point. It's about their horrible customer service. Similar to the other reviewer, I was essentially told by Dana, the office manager, that it's too bad for me. They "couldn'" do anything about it.
Yeah right. I work in a medical practice and we ALWAYS do right by our patients. We treat others how we would like to be treated. As office manager, it was well within her power to address the situation fairly. Instead I was told that it wasn't her problem.
I will never recommend this practice to anyone looking for quality care and service. They simply don't have it. It's about their bottom line, and not quality care for their patients.
