Overall

I have been debating on writing this review for months. I have used used this facility for years and the more I have dealt with them the more I am worried to bring my dog back. When we began at this facility we were assigned a doctor that was supposed to see our dog every time. We never saw that vet again nor have we ever seen the same vet twice. Lets not forget that they are 2-3 times the price of other nearby vets. We have used their boarding facilities as well. At first they would show you the run and let you bring toys for your pets stay. Now there are no toys allowed and you aren't allowed to accompany your pet to see where they will be staying. Not to mention that my dog has gotten sick immediately after a stay with them or injured while at the stay nearly every time. I'm sure the people here mean well but when it comes to peoples pets if you cant do it right you shouldn't do it at all

I have been a client with East Orlando Animal Hospital for almost 7 years and I cannot praise them enough! They have an exceptional staff that is always professional and courteous. On occasion my pet has needed to see a veterinarian in an emergency situation on the weekend and they always manage to squeeze us in. My pets are my children and they understand that! I recommend East Orlando Animal Hospital to all my friends that own pets and plan on being a client for a very long time!

East Orlando Animal Hospital started caring for our Dalmatians 30 years ago. Over the years they have given us the best treatment we could have ever wanted. The practice maintains high standards of care and the latest in veterinarian medicine as well as friendliness and compassion. As long as we have pets we will continue to entrust the staff of East Orlando Animal Hospital with helping to maintain their health and well-being. Thank you, John, Linda, Maggie and Echo.

Couldn't Ask For Better!

I have lived all across the country and have had many vets care for my little girl. Nationwide this is the best animal care team around! Very knowledgable (every one of them) and very compassionate! I even found out today that they work with over 10 local rescues - getting the healthy and giving them a place to stay until a foster can be established! This team is a huge group of angels! Love them! Thank you EOAH for everything you do for my pup and the community!

Dr. Glenn saved my baby's life

I've had Molly for a fortnight when I brought her to East Orlando Animal Hospital for a routine checkup. To my surprise, my fat baby is actually underweight and filled with worms. I was so devastated. Molly was running a high fever and she couldn't eat. She was admitted, and soon, she was back to her old self. Thanks East Orlando Animal Hospital for taking care of my baby.

They need money badly

We are financially able and willing to board our two small dogs at EOHA. It's close by, it's clean and the staff were friendly- this seen during our recent tour. (It was also amazingly not busy for a Saturday afternoon.)

But- $20.00/per dog for a bath? for what we can and always have done at home after boarding them (elsewhere). On top of the $23.00/dog/night kennel run fee? And extra to let them go play outside? No thanks.

EOHA should reivew it's policy. A place that isn't hard up for money would make the pre pick up bath an option. I've never heard of 'mandatory bath'.

Also you can pay more for a 'theme' kennel. Dogs do not see artwork on the walls. They don't care. EHOA is trying to compete with the doggie hotels who cater to the well heeled status quo seeking gullable.

My guess is EOHA is hard up for money... $20.00 for a bath? You gotta be kidding. For that, I'm sad we won't be taking our two dogs there.

They are the BEST!!

I am a long time client of EOAH and Dr. Glenn. He has treated my cats since way back in 1990 or so. I can't say enough about his professionalism and knowledge, but it is his true caring and compassion about the animals he treats that makes him stand out from other vets. There can be lots of technically good vets out there but I personally have gotten calls from him while he is on vacation checking on a stubborn kittly who wouldnt eat when she had a cold, one who decided to eat tinsel and most recently one who needed surgery to repair an abdominal surgery done by another vet ( an emergency). We also had to put our first kitty to sleep and he and the staff were more caring than we could have imagined. I can't believe there are anything but excellent review for this team. Yes, treating animals is costly, but if you can't afford to take good care of them then you shouldn't have them in the first place. I would recommend this practice to everyone!!!!

Competent, caring and trustworthy

When my dog was misdiagnosed repeatedly by another vet over the course of 6 months, I eventually brought him to Dr. Glenn at East Orlando Animal Hospital. With no exaggeration, it took Dr. Glenn 5 minutes to diagnose the issue. My dog required surgery and I was presented with a detailed list of the charges involved, with each item fully explained. Once my dog was admitted, there were some additional tests the Dr. felt were necessary (I agreed) and I was called first before the tests were performed. For me, my dog is like my child and I expect a vet to be every bit as good as a pediatrician would be. The Dr's and staff at East Orlando were wonderful, both with me and my dog (I was emotional about the surgery, the staff was very comforting and reassuring). What really impressed me was the fact that the follow up exams after the surgery were at no charge. I also received two follow up calls (from the Dr) in the three weeks after surgery to see how we was doing. Also, my dog had another issue (unrelated to the surgery) that Dr. Glenn felt was outside his area of expertise. Rather than try and BS his way into running up additional charges (I've had vets do that in the past), he referred me to a specialist that he trusted. I was impressed that after the initial consultation with a neurologist, that Dr. Glenn called me to review the neurologists findings and to see if I had any questions he could answer. I consider that not only professional, but very decent as well. In my opinion, these are competent professionals who genuinely care for their patients. I can highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good vet in the Orlando area.

Pet Died

I had taken my 7 month old kitten there to get checked out, they charged 47 dollars just to look at her, then another 60 dollars for one test then 26 dollars for some dewormer plus all kinds of different taxes. My bill came up to about 137. The next morning my baby kitten died, right in my arms and they would do nothing. The dewormer that I never even got a chance to use, they wouldn't even let me get a refund. It seems like they didn't even care. I literally could not afford that, I can't even afford food or Christmas presents now. I'm literally broke for two weeks and thanks to them my kitten that was like a daughter to me is dead and gone and I am broke and can't afford Christmas gifts for my family :'(

We are so sorry for this families loss. Loosing a kitten and not knowing why can be extremely difficult. Our heart goes out to them. Our hospital performed an examination and the services allowed by the family in hopes to help this kitten it was unfortunate that we could not. As for returning the medications, it is against FDA regulations to take back medications.

long time client

I have been going to East Orlando Animal Hospital for over 20 years. They saved my previous dog from a rattlesnake bite and are taking good care of our present dogs. There are several vets that work there, and over the years different doctors have come and gone. They have up to date equipment and the 3 doctors I have used are well trained in western medical techniques. But we do suppliment with a holistic approach as well. I feel that you need to use your own judgement in who you finally decide to go to, try a few vets then pick the one that fits your needs and philosophy.
