Del Frisco s Prime Steak and Lobster has been awarded the International Diamond Award form the American Academy of Hospitality Services. The restaurant has also received the Golden Spoon Award from Florida Trend Magazine, and in 2004, was named Best Steakhouse by City Search. Del Frisco s is a steakhouse in Orlando, Fla., that is owned and operated by Russ and Carole Christner. The restaurant, which also features a piano lounge for nightly entertainment, offers a menu that is heavy on steak and seafood. Appetizers include a shrimp sampler, crabcakes and lobster bisque. Del Frisco s entrees include a variety of steaks, lobster, shrimp and veal dishes. The restaurant offers bread that is baked fresh daily, United States Department of Agriculture prime corn-fed beef from the Midwest and cold water Australian lobster tails.

Best Steak in Orlando
I have been to many steak houses in the Orlando area for many years including Mortons, Shulas, Ruth Chris, Palm and more. Del Friscos has the best tasting steak in town by far. Service is always GREAT! The pepercorn sauce is best sauce i have ever had on a steak. This is the best high end steakhouse for the value proposition in my opinion.

Not Worth the Hype -- or the Price
The website says "We invite you to join us for what we promise will be Central Florida’s prime dining experience" and it's signed Carole and David Christner. The experience was unforgettable, but not in a good way. The food was good - the dressings are fresh and made in-house, the steaks were cooked as ordered, but the quality of the food did not equal the price. The rest of the experience was terrible. We had reservations, and yet they seated us in the bar. It was extremely loud - too loud for conversation, though a table of 12 near us tried to talk over the noise and added to the cacophony. Our waiter was always in a rush when he stopped at the table, as though he had too much to handle or perhaps we weren't important. There is an impressive list of awards on the website but it is difficult to accept that this restaurant earned all those awards. There are better places in Orlando to eat. I see no reason to waste time visiting this place.

Absolute best Steakhouse in the area. Its aura and ambiance is great and elegant. And their steak and meat is far superior. If you have not been, its a must go. . . and go. . . and go again.

Best "Local" Steak and Lobster Restaurant
Del Frisco's has the best Steak & Lobster. This restaurant is where all the "local people" go. That should tell you something. It is great eating dinner around the piano area. The atmosphere is wonderful for a nice evening with your spouse. A little on the expensive side but it is worth it. Enjoy!

From the menu to the single malt scotch selection this is a special restaurant! The whole restaurant has had a makeover and it looks great! Rich wood wall panels, floors and deep dark leather. Soft music adds to the ambiance, just loud enough to enjoy but not so you have to yell over. Lighting is low, but you don't need a flashlight to read the menu. Food was delicious, service top shelf, and atmosphere romantic. I think I picked the best place in town for our 30th anniversary splurge. We were watched over, but not bothered. The quality of the food was the best. Our beef was cooked to our exact requests. Thank you for a perfect evening. Do yourself a favor, dress up and go here for any special occasion. You will not regret it!

Worth the hype

Went here last week for my first time. I am newly arrived from Ohio and this was my first real dinner here. Most of you will know what I mean. Decor was nice. Very old school. Service was spectacular from start to finish. Here is what I will say. I have had better. Honest. I am a foodie, what can I say. The steaks were PHENOMINAL. Truly delicious and well cooked. THe mashed potatoes were not as good as they could have been. The home made salad dressing were a true highlight of the meal. I was disappointed in what I got for the price, honestly. I do NOT mind paying for a great meal, and this one was very very good, but the sides did not match the steak. The lobster was extreemly overpriced and its a shame they had no smaller portion than the 18 oz. I would definitely go back. The steaks alone are worth it. But I will also try some of the others on this list.

We just had a great dinner at Del Frisco's. I took my mom and dad and we were impressed with the newly remodeled look they completed to the front entrance. As always, the steaks were FANTASTIC...plus you got try the Fried Oysters.

Visited again for the first time in several years. Not as good as in the past. No longer listed on the corporate website as a participating location. Dont know if has new owners or the quality of restaurant staff in Orlando has really plummeted. Considering the price paid (over 500 for dinner for 4 with only 1 cocktail ordered and no wine) we could have gone to another establishemnt and eaten just as well for far less. noisy, crowded, not really sparkling clean either! Now just Outback quality and poor service. Not recommended

Best Steak I've Ever Had
My wife's family lives in Winter Park, so whenever we do travel to Oranldo for holidays or special occasions, we always go to Del Frisco's. This is the place where I had my first "Pittsburg Style" steak. I have yet to find another resturant that can make it as good as Del Frisco's. Ruth's Chris has NOTHING on Del Frisco's!

I didn't get a confortable feeling from the "owner" as far as being the guest, seamed like he was more interested in making money off of us rather than the comfort and service to make our dining a good experience. I wouldn't recommend. !
Find someplace else for a good dining experience. -
Bad customer service

Very disappointing. The food was good but not great and the service left a great deal to be desired. Once our order was served our waitress never returned to our table until we finally summoned a bus person to get the check. We sat for 20 minutes waiting for our plates to be cleared. We would have liked more water, wine, coffee and possibly dessert but were never offered. I felt we were ignored for the entire meal. I will not return.

Not the ""best"" steak place, but certainly decent for Florida. It took awhile for the waiter to even come over to ask if we'd like anything to drink, so just think how much LONGER it took them to finally bring the drink over.. The steak was nicely cooked, just as i had ordered, the appetizers were OK, didn't impress me much. O, and it would be nice if they'd greet us when we walk in and out vs. just staring at us.. *sigh* i guess you can't expect much from FLdians.

The steak is so excellent! We were brought plates that finished cooking our meat to perfection! The food is high in quality and the pace is slow enough to enjoy your meal but quick enough that you don't have to wait long before enjoying more food! Not being from the area we weren't sure what to expect but our expectations were exceeded and when will return!
