Barr Services

If I could give a negative star i would. Barr services wasn't even doing work for me but my neighbor who needed a tree trimmed. The only way I can describe there work is the most unprofessional thing I have ever seen. Falling BIG branches/logs on my neighbors driveway and in my yard. They then just left for the day leaving it all in my yard and neighbors yard. Next day the owner of Barr services comes back and apparently thinks its perfectly normal to drive his truck and trailer right into the middle of MY yard in order to pick up the mess. I confronted him about it and his only response is I have been doing this for 40 years and never had anyone, especially a neighbor, complain about this sort of thing. I am shocked at how this company has been in business at all. The worst part is my elderly neighbor having to deal with this guy. I feel this company could care less about any sort of quality work preformed and is just out to make a quick buck. Don't ever use this company....

Regarding the other incorrect review of Barr services, I have worked for Barr services on several occasions over the years.

We have had Black, white, gay, mixed, mexican, cuban, and a host of other SATISFIED customers for OVER 40 years In Orlando, With the same business name AND business location, on orange avenue.

Gas And Time are now valuable commodities, as are the services of a knowledgeable professional in the tree care industry.

If a plumber messes up, you get a leak. If a tree service messes up, you get a limb or tree through your roof, or worse yet, a worker dead in your yard. It is like no other home service industry with the inherent dangers.

It is a fact that trees are the deadliest plant on the planet.

Companies who push equipment, ropes AND workers to the limit to maximize cashflow KILL or seriously injure tree care workers.

Bill Barr has never had a worker killed or seriously injured IN OVER 40 YEARS. He cares about his workers, and they take breaks when they WANT them. Even days off, without loosing their jobs.

He operates in a professional manner, and has a fairly exclusive, loyal customer base.

Bill maximizes his available time and only meets with the DECISION MAKER on his estimates. This is in order to ENSURE there is no mis-communication between the purchaser and the product of his work.

Remember, this is not "replace this window", "fix this hole", "mow the grass" or "patch the roof" type of work.

There is much room for misunderstandings. The customer paying, the tree, and the contractor should always meet, face to face, pointing and discussing the work to be done.

This is tree work.

You look at your yard everyday. And, every single cut made pruning on your tree changes that view. Cuts cant be undone or redone.

Any other work you have done on your property can be redone by someone else if your contractor screws up.

Tree work is PERMANANT, and affects your property value, as well.

Bill does not care about your color, race, partner, religion, or lack thereof.

He is not even prejudice on payments. Green, gold and silver are always welcome, as well as good local personal checks.

He cares about the health, safety and beauty of your trees, as well as having another satisfied customer referal to add to a 40 year long satisfied customer base.

Bill is also present on ALL of his own jobs.

Most company owners never see your job, or only see it for a few minuits. Bill sees your entire job, from the estimate to the clean up, to the payment, after the last stick is raked up, doing much of the work himself.

Barr Services, or even Bill himself, would not survive over 40 years in Orlando, treating people unfairly.

8/30/08 my wife place a call to Barr tree service about a pine tree that needed to be trim. The owner answer and was very kind over the phone. He stated he could come over and give an estimate on trimming

the tree. He showed up at our house about two hours later. he rained the bell than seconds later started knocking on the door. I open the door and the looked at me as if he was at the wrong house and said is their someone here by the name of Sandra. I said she was out at the moment, are you the guy coming to give an estimate on triming the tree. he said she said she would be here than started walking away. than as he was walking he said were is the tree and I pointed to it. He than looked at me again as he walked away and said I ain't got time for this and he got into his silver Pt Cruser and drove away. We are a mix couple and when he walked up to the house thinking he would be dealing with a white women and saw a black man he did not want to give me to time of day. Not today Not know if their are businesses out there

that are going to make it, they can't be narror minded. They need to know money has no color. I feel Barr Tree Service is not one of the businesses that we want to repersent the City of Beautiful, (Orlando). After

he left our house, I called my wife to enlighten her on what just happen. She than called but no one would answer. she left a message but no one returned her call.
