Midstate Steel LLC. Utica N.Y. actual fact of 6/5/12. The complete fabricating facility was down as the main “Ficep” brand machine was down. This machine is originally from England. Their support staff is in Virginia and tough to get on scene in less than 3 business days at great expense. NYAE was called in, responded to scene within 1 hour, troubleshot for cause, identified failed Servo motor controller/ Encoder. Replaced failed component and plant was back up and running in less than 2+1/2 hrs. The shop foreman was quoted as saying “You guys are genius”
