Target Sports II

My uncle and I visited Target Sports on 5/11/14. Our original destination was Double Action which was closed because of Mother’s Day. Upon arrival at Target Sports we were happy to see the place was not crowded and there was no wait for the range. Everything went downhill from there.
We were not allowed to use or take our long gun ammunition into the range. All long gun ammunition had to be purchased in store. I can understand a range not wanting to let a shooter use reloaded ammunition. However, I had unopened boxes of factory .556 and .223. I don’t like being bullied into buying range ammo.
Next we get a speech about hitting the target hangers. The guy tells us that if we hit and break the target holders we have to pay for the damage. What is he talking about? IF I COULD SHOOT THAT WELL I WOULD NOT NEED TO PRACTICE!!!!!! Now I am not having fun, worried that I could possibly damage a hanger and be charged, I think he said $125.00. I am not a marksman, that is why I was there to practice!
The guy tells us we have 30 minutes. We ask for an hour. He says well we could but if it gets busy we limit the time to 30 minutes. I can understand that, if the place was busy. When we walked in 3 guys were using one range the others were empty. The store was empty of customers. Again…..what was he talking about? We can’t have an hour because of the rush they were expecting!!!!???? When our 30 minutes were up Rick Ector from “Rick's Firearm Academy of Detroit” was giving a CCW class. The other ranges were empty. They didn’t get the rush they were looking forward to.
Perhaps this guy was simply upset because he had to work on the holiday. However, he made it apparent to us they didn’t want or appreciate our business. I am happy to grant his wish, THEY WILL NEVER SEE ANOTHER DIME FROM US.

My daughter and I enjoyed using shooting range and assistance provided was pleasant and knowledgeable.

My wife and I have always enjoyed shooting at this location . It is clean and friendly, knowledge staff. I also take new shooters to this location,it starts them with a great experience

The manager at this location is beyond rude. He is not above sexually harassing women when confronted with his rude behavior, but also will insult you, potentially call you mentally ill, loudly enough for other customers and other employees to hear to try to discredit any claims against his rude behavior. Never go here especially if you're a female.

Not above harassing their customers, if they don't like the way you are dress, be ready to be harassed and called mentally ill. Will never see a dime of my money.

Excellent range, but expensive on weapons. But it has a good selection if price its no option. Check it out.....

A good range. I like the employees, I like the range. The prices can be high on new firearms, but if you tie in the offer for free range time (and take advantage of it), a first time gun owner who lives in the area would be foolish not to make that purchase at Target Sports. Having a range that has so many rental options is another (HUGE) plus. We are very luck to have such a good range in the area. I have never heard the employees give bad advise.
