Children of the World Learning Academy

We started taking our daughter here about a year ago. Her development has exploded since begining and she only goes 2 to 3 day per week. Mrs. Claudia sat with us the other day to go over her assessment of our daughter's development including pros, cons, next steps and what we can do to aide in her growth. In a nutshell, Mrs. Claudia is an extremely educated woman with a genuine passion for what she does. She doesn't put up with nonsense from teachers, students or parents. She runs a tight ship with routines and lesson plans for all age groups. We are very excited to start our daughter full time shortly and our son part time in a few months. Long story short, we would recommend this daycare to anyone.

I am only giving one star for review. There were many red flags that in the beginning were more annoyances-losing jacket, clothes, kids coming home in other diapers that were not ours, asking for diapers and wipes when Just provided. The owner is very hard to communicate with. I saw on 2 occasions cursing in front of the kids also short tempered behavior/lack of control with the kids by the owner and also noticed with her own children. My request for no sugar (except birthdays) was ignored. Our kids came home very thirsty and would ask for water drinking a lot. It seems the kids were not properly hydrated during the day as by the time you feel thirsty it means you are already dehydrated. This issue was also experienced by others there. Our weekly rate was increased when they turned 3 when typically the rate goes down. When I asked why it was going up I was told an error was made when we started and she kept me at the rate but never told me of this error until she raised me a year later. There is not one teacher there from a year ago. A revolving door of teachers as the owner is very hard to get along with. This tells a lot about the situation there. I noticed this was becoming an issue with my kids as it was constantly changing. There was a disturbing situation involving my son and another child and following that there was a project involving cut outs of bikini models from "sports illustrated" magazine (this magazine was used per the owner) The project was called "swimsuit collage". No Pics just women posing in bikinis. I asked the owner if she knew about this project and she did and saw no issue withit. These magazines have a cover over them at the grocery stores! NOT appropriate a school age child let alone 3 year olds! Too many issues here and we moved our sons. After speaking with others who have dealt with this facility/owner it confirms that everything is NOT right here and this facility should be looked at closer. I am only sad I did not do something sooner.

This is by far the most loving and caring daycare I have even had my kids in. The owners treat every child like their own and gives all of them individual attention! The world needs more people that care for our children like they do!
