I had a terrible experience a few years ago at this place with my son. The director of the place is nothing shy of the gestapo. She had the nerve to get in my wifes face in front of my son because she was 3 mins late dropping him off.... umm we are paying for a service whether she's there on time or not. Once that took place, I had a few choice words with her in turn she had her lawyer call me. Funny thing is they ended up paying me. The care my son received was less than adequate, he left there and ended up at the daycare facility for Turning Stone employees, night and day difference.

Wow... i dont understand the negative reviews?! My little girl is well taken care of and the staff is great! Far better than other places i have used. Once again the staff is fantastic, but there will always be negative, clueless, and for the most part usless sad excuses of parents out there looking to add more negativity to local services. Keep up the good work odc!

I really don't understand where some of these negative reviews are coming from! My 6 month old daughter goes to Oneida Daycare and I am extremely pleased with every aspect of the center. The staff is very friendly, there are tons of toys, art projects, a great playground, great curriculum, and it is very clean. Most importantly, every day when I drop her off and pick her up all of the children look very happy and engaged. I would highly recommend this daycare to fellow moms.

My husband and I have relied on the Oneida Area Day Care Center for the past five years. We were looking for and found an incredible staff that was devoted and loving towards our children. Being an elementary teacher, I can speak to the education that this center provides. My children learned their letters and their numbers far earlier than the average child. They became independent thinkers and doers; they learned to share and to reconcile their differences. Through this center, my children have gone on numerous field trips to places like the zoo or to local apple orchards or to animal shelters - learning about the world around them. You may find it of interest that a set curriculum is followed - weekly units with learning objectives such as fire safety, animal habitats, hygiene, community workers, etc....is taught throughout the year. My children wouldn't be as smart, as loving, as social, as independent, as polite (the list goes on and on) without the quality this center offers.

My daughter has gone for over a year now and the biting problems have improved. Her current teachers are very nice. As for learning, learning at this age group looks like play. There should not be formal learning (sitting at desks watching an instructor "teach") at this age, it has been proven not as effective as learning through t play; they are still learning the way things work, and this day care is letting them play with things like bubbles, sand, shaving cream, clays, paints, various smells (food things), on a regular basis. I think the kids are being exposed to many different learning stimuli here and things have improved since last year.

I have had two children at the center for the last three years. Both have attended since they were infants. At no time has my child been neglected. They both bring home art projects and always are happy and excited to go to "school". Small children bite and I know from experience that the center works very hard to rectify any situations. The new management has done so much to make the center even better. I would recommend anyone send their kids.

As a working mom, I could not be happier with the care that my children receive from the loving and nurturing employees at OADCC. I drop in all times of day and I consistently find my children engaged, learning, smiling and developing the skills I expect them to know. I highly recommend this center and I know my children will be kindergarten ready.

I have had my children in two different daycare centers due to a move and by far this is the worst. There is a lot of turnover with the staff, no one takes an iniative, and your child will be watched...maybe, but certaintly not cared for like one of their own. I have multiple centers to compare to, so I can tell you there is much better child care situations out there, and I would not suggest you take your children to this center, you will greatly regret it

This daycare is not good. Do not bring your children here. Staff is not friendly. You are better off bringing your child to a home day care because the children don't learn anything. :( Very dissatisfied with the care received.

My child had a few biting accident's at this daycare, much like the other parents reviews, I am not extremely satisfied with the care that my child receives at Oneida Area Daycare.

Obviously the person posting these negative comments has their "own" agenda as my personal experience with the ODC has been nothing but professional. The managment and staff are skilled at what they do and the care for children is there utmost prioroity. Just the same, I'm sure the "negative poster" has their reasons but this isnt the place to be posting self serving comments that may unduly infliuence some other caring parent into not using ODC. If anyone wants a "real opinion" of the professionalism of the management and staff, I recommend a personal visit to the facility and talk to the children and parents that put the care of their loved ones in the hands of the ODC every single day instead of reading the garbage written by one individual with a distinct lack of character.

If you don't mind your child getting into bleach, then this is a great center, otherwise, I would not recommend this center to anyone...

If it was possible to give a negative rating, I would. Despite the recent article in the paper that is full of lies, this center is not only nothing special, but might be detrimental to your children. They don't give children the care and attention they need and deserve and don't communicate with parents. Staff are uncaring and rude and rarely interact with the children. Don't ever take your child here.

This center is nothing special, children get the opportunity to play, but I have not seen a lot of learning going on. You would be just as good to send your child to at home care and save yourself the money.

I love this Day Care!! I have 2 children that attend this Day Care Center and the people are very friendly when I drop off and pick up my children. My 4 year old is always bringing home art projects and has recently came home saying the Pledge. My oldest was a "problem child" until I sent him here and they completely turned him around. I highly recommend this Day Care.

This center is not organized, the staff is not friendly and your child will be treated like a number. They do not give your children the attention they deserve.

This center is very unorganized and they do not create consistency for the children. The staff is not overly friendly or loving to the children. Your children should be in a learning environment, but with this center it is no different than if they are home with a family member just being watched, because this is all the center did for our children, they watched them, instead of inspiring them and creating an environment to learn in. I would not recommend this center to anyone especiallly for the amount of money you will pay.
