DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE!! After my groomer retired, a friend did recommend. I called and finally, after almost a week Mark ( the owner) called me back. FLAG #1. In this conversation he said, "Bring your dog on Friday" and hung up. This was the another indication of how weird he is! FLAD #2.
I brought my dog in and picked her up. Since I needed to get back to work I did not do a complete inspection until I got home. I will note that when I saw her it did not look like she had been groomed very well. However I paid my bill and even left a tip. When I got home that evening I started inspecting my dog a little closer. The grooming was done very poorly and not complete. I called the Dog House and left two very nice messages. Finally, after three days Mark called me and said that we just disagreed about the grooming. I said that was fine and that I would like to take my dog in again to finish the job. He told me Petsmart has kids that do grooming and go there. ( I will note that I have used Petsmart in the past when my groomer was unavailable and the individual there did a much better job than the Dog House!).
Mark was rude, disrespectful, and really a jerk!
While I was waiting to pick up my dog, Mark was at the front desk and noted that he had been telling people he was out on a medical emergency that day, but in reality he was at a deposition. He then spoke about black people and how unsafe this world is and that
So many of "them" hang out at Walmart. He was just babbling on but I found it quite offensive (considering my family and background) and this was my FINAL (FLAG #3) clue that this was not an establishment that I would go back to!

Provided by DexKnowsMy 2 Pomeranian Dogs were a mess, had not been groomed for quite a while. Said because of their condition they would have to charge more, it ended up being a couple of dollars, gladly paid . Results Beautiful Job, Great Price. I LOVE THE DOG HOUSE

Provided by DexKnowsWe've been going to the Dog House for a little over 2 years and they give our dog the best cut. We have tried a few other places but this place gives the right cut. We'll keep going back!

Provided by DexKnowsI was trying to schedule an appointment for my dog and the person (a male voice) on the phone hung the phone on me, saying " sorry it is Christmas rush. We are booked til January!" He did not even wait for my response and hung up! I won't call this place anymore. There are hundreds of other dog grooming places.

Provided by DexKnowsWe've been taking our dogs to Mark and Jan for over 20 years. They have been very gracious with us and, as others have noted, are excellent with the dogs. None of ours have ever had a problem with going there and there have been a bunch over that time. The ribbons are a nice extra touch as are the "walls of fame" with the names of many of their doggie customers over the years. As well, you could live at the strip they're in - the restaurants just in that strip can take care of your 3 squares a day!

Provided by DexKnowsI just called to inquire about their services and the gentleman who answered the phone was so rude that I was speechless. I can understand being busy but I've never heard someone so rude to a new and potential client. No way would I take my dog there. I hope is more polite to those people checking in because he won't be getting any new clients with that attitude.
Once again great job. My 2 Pomeranians were in such need for a good groom. Winter undercoat matted etc. What a great job, she really cares. My dogs looked wonderful, I know she had a huge challenge. I just love the work she does, so good to my dogs too.

Provided by DexKnowsI have taken my bichon to other shops and can honestly say The Dog House is the only shop that has done a proper cut. After numerous bad experiences, we have finally found a place that truly cares about my dog, not just how he looks but how he feels while he is there. He does not shy away from going to the groomers as he has in the past and that is because of the way he is treated while at The Dog House. I highly recommend The Dog House to anyone who wants a wonderfully groomed and happy dog.

Provided by DexKnowsI have been taking our Cocker to The Dog House for 10 years. The owner has always been very friendly and never disrespectful. They always make sure they know exactly what your expectations our too. This is a wonderful shop, and our doggie is always happy with the results as well.

Provided by DexKnowsDog House does a great job grooming my dogs and their prices are very reasonable. The owner won't give you warm and fuzzy feelings, but he's great with the dogs and that is all that matters to me. I've been coming here for years, and will continue for years.

Provided by SuperpagesI just love the dog house, they do a great job with my dog! She is a bit timid and scared of people and they help her and me though it. I have and will continue recommending them to anyone. They know me and my dog by name and I always feel welcomed. I have never had a problem with the way they shave her, she always looks great!!
