I set appointments with this plumber three different times for the same problem. He never showed up and told me he completely forgot the appointment one of the times. Might be good, but unfortunately I wasn't able to find out.

I had a problem with a drain/vent issue in a house and called to ask them to perform a service that I thought would help. Ann called one of their master plumbers who diagnosed the problem over the phone, told me he would be glad to come out to look, remove the toilet and mini-cam the line but th…

I was having a major plumbing at my house and have called 3 plumbing company to assess the problem. All of them were insured, bonded and certified to do their job and everybody wants to charge a high dollar for their so called professional plumbing job. I was so desperate and needed the problem fix asap but I was so reluctant in spending the high dollar for their services. I did my research online and found Texas Quality Plumbing Co. I did not work for 2days to take care of this problem. And now this is the 4th plumbing company I called and explained to them over the telephone the problem without going around the bush and I was ready to hear another high dollar project amount. It is now 8:30pm and spoke with Mercedes. She said I can have a plumber be there in an hour but there will be a $50 trip charge to asses the problem. I was so glad to see Joe the plumber at my house around 9:30pm. He gave me his honest opinion and best solution to solve my problem which the other 3 companies failed. In short , Joe came back the next morning bright and early together with Josh and Josh 2(Pepe is the real name cuz his uniform was not ready so he borrowed the uniform of Josh 1) eager to work and to fix my problem the same day not 2-3 days as explained by the other 3 companies. They worked non stop for 4 hours without taking any breaks at all. I gave them drinks and decided to make lunches for them for their hard work and dedication. They found and fix the problem and even did extra plumbing services at a very reasonable price. Me and my wife were hats off to these hard working and knowledgeable team of Joe. They are very polite and works quietly just doing their job. No one is goofing off or playing around. For your next plumbing service I would highly recommend the plumbing team of Joe at Texas Quality Plumbing and Mercedes who is the friendly voice that sets up the appointments on a timely manner. She is very compassionate to our tragedy. Folks do not waste your time looking for other plumbing company. I almost fell for the other companies but now I am so glad I found Texas Quality Plumbing. To top it all they offered me 1 year 100% complete customer satisfaction on their services.
I've been very satisfied with Josh from Texas Quality Plumbing both times he has come out. The first time was to install a whole house water filtration system and fix a leaky faucet. After that I signed up for their membership program for $95 (I think), which entitles you to 1) annual whole house plumbing inspection, 2) $95 off your first service call within the membership term, and 3) additional discounts on any service. A few months later my shower drain completely backed up and I couldn't clear it via any of the usual methods. I called at 10:00 at night. Josh and his assistant showed up early the next morning and quickly cleared the drain. While here they also did the whole house plumbing inspection and flushed out the tankless water heater (which requires annual flushing with vinegar for 45 minutes). I thought there was going to be a separate charge for the tankless water heater flushing but to my pleasant surprise that was included in the whole house inspection. There was also a huge discount on the shower drain unclogging due to being a member. So the membership plan saved me several hundred dollars on the second visit over what I would have paid if I had called another company to clear the drain and flush out the water heater. I appreciate that both Josh and his assistant wore covers over their shoes to protect the carpets, and that they were both nice people and easy to deal with. Same for the dispatcher Mercedes. It was helpful that each time she called about half an hour in advance to let me know that the plumbers were on their way. I have recommended Texas Quality Plumbing to others and will call them next time I have a plumbing issue.
My wife woke me up at 6 in the morning yelling the toilet is going to over flow how do I stop it. I got up and checked how the water was draining. It was draining S_L_O_W. I realized I needed to call a plumber to clean my drain. I belong to a service club that has plumbers. I called them up and asked the question how much to clean the main line. The lady informed me that she does not give prices the teck will come out and check the problem and give me a quote, HOW EVER THERE IS A $ 50 CHARGE IF I DONT GET THE SERVICE. I also had a $50 discount card for the plumber, the more I thought about it the more I wanted no part of it, sounds like a trap. I went on line and checked out different plumbers only to find out that the plumber in my club was only rated average. Texas Quality plumbing had more reviews than most and had an excellant rating. After using thier service I could easly refer them to a friend !! No the are not the cheaoest, how ever they imprest me as being stright foward, honest, and thie price was fair. I would also like to thank Mercedes, She does an excellant job in coustmer service. Tom
I wanted to share my very positive experience with Alfonso L and his assistant at ARS – Houston North. I had a clogged drain line to a new hot heater that was installed. ARS sent out the technician that installed the hot heater and he said that I now needed a new drain line. I was not at all happy about this as this would entail an additional expense and require having an “ugly” pipe running down the outside of my two story house. I contacted ARS to express my dissatisfaction and request a second opinion. ARS sent out Alfonso L and his assistant. After going up in the attic, Alfonso confirmed that the drain line was indeed clogged but felt that he could get the line unclogged. I am happy to report that Alfonso L and his assistant delivered!!! I can’t say enough about the “can do” attitudes and professionalism they displayed. Not only did they save me money, but I do not have an “ugly” pipe running down the outside of my house. If and when I have future plumbing issues, I will definitely be contacting ARS – Houston North and requesting the services of Alfonso L and his assistant.
I was approached in Home Depot to have ARS come out an evaluate my air conditioner units. I was initially hesitant but decided to hear what they had to say since my units were old and I had been "nursing" them for several years now. On the day of the appointment ARS sent Sharon M out to evaluate my units and discuss options on repairing or replacing them. My initial thought was that "she" would not be as knowledgeable as a guy but Sharon proved me wrong! She climbed into my attic, opened my returns, and walked my house end-to-end to complete her evaluation. She then presented it thoroughly and understandably. She gave me several options with justification for each. This turned out not only being a sales call but also an energy education....which is what I strive for when making major purchases. Sharon was great and because of her knowledge and understanding of her products as an employee, it garnered respect for ARS as a company. Hats off to a great employee!
In response to Aaron: Gemini Plumbing was called out to install an OWNER furnished disposal, the existing disposal was leaking. After installing the owner furnished disposal a GFI "tripped" when we attempted to test the disposal. We made several attempts to reset the GFI and were unsuccessful. Gemini advised the customer to call an electrician. Gemini contacted the electrician and were told the electrician had to replace several GFI's, the electrical panel was seriously overloaded and the customer had multiple other electrical problems, none of which were caused by the replacement of the disposal. The customer paid for our service using a credit card, then stopped payment on the credit card and insisted Gemini pay for his electrical repairs. He even used his Mommy's credit card.... There will be a lien put on this house if Aaron (or his Mommy) doesn't pay this invoice. I give Aaron a 1 star customer rating but his Mommy gets 5 stars for putting up with him all these years...
I had a leak under my hot water heater and had to cut off the water to my house. My homeshield warranty sent a plumbing company that was not honest. Their company gave me a very high estimate that did not cover installing a new line from the street. The company also lied when fixing the cutoff valve in the house. They said they had to move the water heater to replace the valve at a cost of $285 to me. After contacting Plumber Near, the tech suggested the plumber cut a hole in the sheet rock to fix the valve. He was very upset. However, he cut a hole and fixed the valve which did not cost me. He gave me a better solution, better estimate and great advice. He educated me through the process and ensured I understood the problem and my options. He was prompt and did what he said. He really cared about me and fixing my problem. I can't say enough good things about Plumber Near. I HIGHLY recommend this company! All people here is humble and honest. Thank you.
After having two other companies come out for a leak search, we called Santhoff. They quickly informed us that the pan that goes below the tile in our shower (shower pan) was leaking and must be replaced. After getting several prices we went with Santhoff. The quality of work was top notch, the plumbers were friendly and professional. Mr Santhoff himself even came out to the job site and helped us re-design the shower so it was more eye appealing as well as more functional than before. They also changed out the shower value while they were their and recommeneded us to a fantastic tile man. I can't believe the difference in the appearance of the bathroom now. From the minute the phone was picked up at the office until the final piece was installed on the shower, everything was PERFECT!! I can't believe the level of service this company provided us, they have exceeded my expectations every step of the way.
A Plus Plumbing Services exceeded my expectations. I needed to have the shut-off valves for my washing machine replaced and some angle stops checked. The service technician arrived on-time and got right to work. If he had a question about how I wanted something done, he explained the pros and cons of doing it each way. As he was working, I explained a couple of other issues that I was having and he quickly diagnosed those issues and was able to begin and finish those repairs also. Never did I feel as though he was wasting time. He was efficient and thorough. He let me know what he was doing every step of the way. I truly appreciated his proactive approach and willingness to help. In the next few months I have a water heater that will need to be replaced. There is no doubt who I will be calling when its time to do that. Overall, a great experience. Thanks A Plus Plumbing Services.
I've hired John Moore Services for a couple of jobs now and was really happy with the outcome of both. One was relatively small and easy - putting a drip pan beneath a hot water heater. The other was gigantic and heinous - leaking pipes beneath my foundation, which took 2 or 3 days to completely repair. In both cases, the technicians were great to work with and extremely patient and thorough. For the latter job in particular, I was very impressed. They had to go through my garage floor, dig out a mound of dirt and store it in the driveway until the job was done, fix the multiple leaks, then back fill all of the dirt and cement in the hole in the garage floor. When they were done, I honestly couldn't tell that anything had been out of sorts. They left the place exactly as they found it; no small task considering the size and nature of the job.
If your toilet is losing water, the problem can usually be quickly identified by taking a look inside the tank.
Under the tank's lid, you'll see a few items:
To understand what could be going awry in your toilet, it's best to first know what happens with each of these items. When you flush the toilet, the handle pulls on a lever attached to the flapper's chain. The flapper then lifts up and lets the fresh water in the tank flow into the bowl.
As the water drains, the float drops to the bottom of the tank, which triggers another lever. This lever turns on the pump, and begins to fill the tank up with fresh water. The pump is turned off when the float reaches the top of the tank again. The water should not go past the top of the overflow tube.
An old or damaged flapper is one of the most likely culprits behind a running toilet. The flapper needs to create a tight seal so water doesn't leak down into the bowl. If water is slowly seeping past the plug, the float will eventually be lowered enough to trigger the pump to turn on.
To replace the flapper:
Flappers are generally pretty universal, so the biggest thing you'll need to take note of is the size. Older toilets generally have a 2-inch outlet valve diameter, while newer ones more likely have a 3-inch outlet valve diameter.
The resting place of your float is key here. If the float naturally rises above the overflow tube, the pump won't turn off until the water reaches that position. Then, water will go down the overflow tube, lowering the water level in the tank, starting the process over again. To solve this, simply readjust the rod so the float's resting place is below the overflow tube.
When the toilet isn't being flushed, the chain leading to the flapper shouldn't be too tight. This could be lifting the flapper enough to let water through. Check the flapper position and the chain and adjust as needed so the flapper shuts tight.
